Here is a little extra information about the game project to help forum users and people in general become familiar with what we're foing here. I hope it is informative and enjoyable.

I, too, look forward to Super Marvel vs. Capcom: Eternity of Heroes. Is this the next phase of the original Marvel vs. Capcom: Eternity of Heroes or just a brand new version altogether? Either way, I ::salute:: you, Infinity Mugen Team, for this amazing feat. I also saw the new Super Marvel vs. Capcom signatures; some of these have new characters. Does this mean they'll be in this game as well?

The previous work of Sludge will remain in the game but in general Sludge has done what he came here to do. I'm still amazed at how well he did what he ment to do.

Cool, what is the release plans for the individual characters? Will it be like last time where you released some of the characters stand alone as they got done, or will it be after Super MVC:EOH in 2009?

It will be different for each character depending on the creator. Over all, refer to our moto seen at the top of the forum. ;)

on a small note in this game by any chance will the characters have the tag patcher equipped to them because i have some valuable information i would like to share without being bombarded with hateful comments that may need to be looked into

Correct, something like that currently doesn't exist. And it's not something that can be simply spammed either, it would take great timing to persay use "Captain Fire" just a split moment after someone uses "Ice Beam".

I think he's talking more about a SPECIFIC move from one character being able to take priority over a SPECIFIC move from another character, but losing out to yet another move from another character.

I got an idea for the project. How about you make the project like a real game. Like at the end of the battle, the two character portraits come up and the winner of the battle say some thing like "You're pathetic." But, before that, it'll show the points system on top of the lifebars. Then after the battle before the character portraits, it'll show this...

Extra:?,???,???
Total:???,???,???
See if you and the IMT can do that.

actually G Lux...if you have mvc2 do the tornado hold and have someone have iceman and do the icebeam while the tornado hold is out. the ice beam will not go through the tornado hold and the tornado hold will still be going. the tornado hold acts just like geese's rasing storm towards other projectiles even supers in geeses case. the other projectiles are destroyed yet the raising storm still hits all 5 times.

I think that projectile thing ws in the first darkstalkers, but it worked differently.
the projectile that was out first was weaker, so if person A threw a fireball, then person B threw one, it would go through the first and keep going.

yes and no.
Projectiles will cancel other projectiles just it has CLSN1 boxes (the boxes for take damage). Some creators forget to put it.
There is the priority too. Higher priority projectiles will "eat" lower ones.
And there is a special kind: the helper projectile.
Projectile beams-like must be done with helpers, not simple projectiles. Because when you hit iceman when he is doing Ice Beam...the beam would be floating on the air. :)

Maybe this will sound stupid, but i'd had to ask:
Will we see more Updated Marvel Costumes? like Civil War Spiderman or new uniforms on the X-Men... or even the Iron Man with the movie armor or Captian America as seen on the new Secret Invasion? or something like that... 'cause it's so boring to see the same costumes on the heroes... even more!! Spiderman is wearing it's old costume, but it was as well seen the Black Suit too (as seen on Back in Black), or even better World War Hulk, or Red Hulk!!! Maybe I'm asking too much... but it would give this a good and refresing flip on the fighting games ^-^

captain america so far is getting a facelift. to be honest though I'd kill to see the iron spider suit in action, I'm so curious about its full potential, as long as I don't have to see a proton cannon that is. :D

Yes, right now we're really depending on the tons of Marvel character spriters to come through with a few more combatants on the Marvel side so we'll have more room to add characters for the Capcom side though.

(although I also acknowledge that the word "final" is relative, considering new characters are always being made :P )

There will be no Holy Ryu in the game, sorry. There will be 70+ characters in the game and if you don't see it announced here in the MvC project section then it's probably not part of the game. All of the characters that were in the first beta release (52 on screen characters I believe) will be in the final game too.

This question has been asked before, the quick answer is no.
The game will be released as one entity. The characters and stages will be released seperately for your own mugen use according to each individual creator's wishes. After the project is officially "not a beta" then we'll release the screen pack too and everyone can fill it till their heart's content. 2009.

That sounds pretty logical. I like the fact that it's up to the contributors who are making stages & characters, to release them separately from the full build, at the desire of the contributors. That's what I plan on doing with my stage for Punisher, once the final tweaks are finished for Punisher's stage. Which should be about an hour from now.

Well, now that I've got a fast internet connection at home, I can see all what you have, and is pretty impressive, unless you need to define and fix some stuff, basically in my opinion you need:
- A Common vs system for all characters, this means that you need the vs system behavior in a common use, because the default mugen system that you are still using enables nasty easy infinites, and weird behaviors.
- Some anim sets need to be accurate to capcom vs system, this means that you are missing some 5060 group like sprites, some chars just get 5050 anim sets, wich makes them look like SNK type anim sets (look carefully mvc when doing a knock back move)
- You need to fix some easy infinites, like the classic light punch dash infinite type.
- Some chars need unified sparks
- Some proyectiles can be spawned really fast, causing infinites.
- All roster needs curnerpush attibutes to avoid corner easy infinites.
- 5051, 5250 and 5251 anims should be present in all your chars, 5051 is the typeical launcher get hit type + aerial rave type and the other 2 are special standards for spinning around vertical (like in jin's M Typhoon)
Besides this, the proyect looks pretty well, good luck on it :D

good feedback but remember te majority agreed to just get characters into the game then worry about the bulk of the small easy to fix things such as the infinites though i hope it will be fixed in the upcoming version of the game. i think that now the most important part is getting the characters in there but also yeah the project and lp infinites need to be fixed but seriously though most of you guys shouldnt cheap the system by using the infinites and just fight regular. thats all my opinion

For the last feedback, at least consider to unify the system, because many chars play as the author wanted them to play, so they feel like, separated from the rest of the roster, you can use for example a main helper to control anouncer sounds, so it can be general to everyone and you don't need to code char by char, also, you will get common modified states that will behave like vs system games, without having to override every char.
This suggestions are only for saving you time and nasty char-by-char overriding and modifiying...

This year the release party was in February and it went into the first week of March. I released Metalman V1 on February 17. :)

Last time I check a couple characters like Punisher and crap will be released this month...Or well they should be....

The new version of EOH might be coming out soon, so I have some questions and concerns. I don't know if they'll be answered or addressed, but I'm pretty sure asking won't end with me being left for dead.
1.Balance: In the previous version of EOH, there were some balance issues, such as Sagat and Megeman being able to get easy infinities with their projectiles. (Megaman got it with his low projectile.) Besides that, some attacks did too much damage, such as Iceman's Beam Super, or Dee Jay's Projectile Super, or the light version of Hulk's anti-air (Ch.D,U+K), which doesn't too much damage on it's own, but allows Hulk to juggle the foe. Other attacks don't do enough damage, such as Hulk's rush attack (Ch.B,F+K). Hopefully, these issues, and many more, have been addressed.
2.'Cloneage': I can understand the shotokans, considering they play differently enough overall, but Ironman and Warmachine are still too similar. What's more, Charlie and Guile are in the same game. Charlie was originally made to be Guile's replacement, not a clone, so there's no need for two of them. The same goes for Warmachine, by the way; originally meant to be Ironman's replacement in MVC.
3.Too Few Options?: It seems like a few characters don't have a lot going for them. 2 of Hulk2099's specials are very similar, so it's like he was brought down from a mere 3 specials to an even mere-er 2. Then there's Banshee. He has a projectile, a close range attack that's quite similar to a normal of his, and a stun attack. That's it. Sure, all Guile has is 2 moves, but one of them is an anti-air. When coupled with his good normals, he's not too shabby. Unfortunately, Banshee has no true anti-air. There might be more cases of this situation.
4.Ryu: What Ryu can do: A projectile, both types of air projectiles, an anti-air, and a multi-purpose attack (rushing, zoning, maby more.) Cyclops can do all that and more (beams instead of projectiles, but there's not major differences between the two) and there might be other characters who eclipse Ryu. Maybe you should give Ryu his fourth special from SFIII:TS to make him stand out more.
Maybe I'll think of more later...

The new version of EOH might be coming out soon, so I have some questions and concerns. I don't know if they'll be answered or addressed, but I'm pretty sure asking won't end with me being left for dead.
1.Balance: In the previous version of EOH, there were some balance issues, such as Sagat and Megeman being able to get easy infinities with their projectiles. (Megaman got it with his low projectile.) Besides that, some attacks did too much damage, such as Iceman's Beam Super, or Dee Jay's Projectile Super, or the light version of Hulk's anti-air (Ch.D,U+K), which doesn't too much damage on it's own, but allows Hulk to juggle the foe. Other attacks don't do enough damage, such as Hulk's rush attack (Ch.B,F+K). Hopefully, these issues, and many more, have been addressed.
2.'Cloneage': I can understand the shotokans, considering they play differently enough overall, but Ironman and Warmachine are still too similar. What's more, Charlie and Guile are in the same game. Charlie was originally made to be Guile's replacement, not a clone, so there's no need for two of them. The same goes for Warmachine, by the way; originally meant to be Ironman's replacement in MVC.
3.Too Few Options?: It seems like a few characters don't have a lot going for them. 2 of Hulk2099's specials are very similar, so it's like he was brought down from a mere 3 specials to an even mere-er 2. Then there's Banshee. he has a projectile, a close range attack that's quite similar to a normal of his, and a sun attack. That's it. Sure, all Guile has is 2 moves, but one of them is an anti-air. When coupled with his good normals, he's not too shabby. Unfortunately, Banshee has no true anti-air. There might be more cases of this situation.
4.Ryu: What Ryu can do: A projectile, both types of air projectiles, an anti-air, and a multi-purpose attack (rushing, zoning, maby more.) Cyclops can do all that and more (beams instead of projectiles, but there's not major differences between the two) and there might be other characters who eclipse Ryu. Maybe you should give Ryu his fourth special from SFIII:TS to make him stand out more.
Maybe I'll think of more later...
You have some valid concerns there. Let's touch on a few points.
1) Balance, Yes we're constantly addressing this issue until we get it pretty close but nothing has been balanced since SSFII Turbo and it took them how many tried to get that close. It's an uphill battle with so many different fighting styles, just like real life. There is a reason why Ken Shamrock always won Ultimate Fighting
2) I am a Guile enthusiast and I understand the concern about douplicates. I won't argue the difference between him and Charlie because I know every other Guile enthusuast allready knows that he is far superior and always has been, which is why he only has 2 special moves. The are different characters. As for War Machine and Iron Man, we need more Marvel characters, so there you go, it was good enough for MvC2, it's good enough for us.
3) Ryu and Cyclops were made to be balanced equals in the X-Men vs SF game. That said, Ryu is still the strongest shoto and definatly stronger than Cyclops, but hey, I'm always in favor of more hypers for everyone!
4) Hulk 2099 is... bland. I know. As well is Sabretooth and Juggernaut. :-??
5) Banshee has flight rather than anti air, and his flight combos are killer, that is where his strength lies, in covering the higher ground and thus controlling the possition of the opponent. Unfortunatly he's not the most popular character so alot of people don't really get to explore his deeper side.
