I was putting together a video for use for the development team discussions but I figured everyone would enjoy the vid so I decided to upload it to YouTube. I should point out, none of the current public releases of any AvX characters have this system installed. This is found only within the full game environment of right now.

Very nice job on the mechanics Ace.

Question: whenever you update X-Men Second Coming, will it have these new mechanics as well? Or do you think it's better being AvX exclusive

^^(PM)^ agreed. this system makes this game its own game. If the system was used in the preivous game it would be like AvX with different characters. Each games needs some type of unique feel to it. That also deals with replay value too. One game offerers something the other doesnt. so one can go back and forth between them two to get their gaming fix.  :Wink

I agree, the mechanic will not be used in the older games. Otherwise there would be very little point in making the newer game in the first place, rather we would have updated XSC instead.

That's not to say that XSC won't get it's own tweeks though.

BTW, if anyone wanted to know what I have been doing for the last month, this is pretty much it. Tweeking the entire available roster.

Looking very nice Acey. This might end up being your best effort yet. ;) (Oh, and props to a very well animated Iron-man. :thumbsup:) In any case, good luck on the game, and I'll certainly be testing it out come release. :)

This fighting mechanic is rad, totally reminds me of the juggle system in MK9 which i've currently been playing a lot of. Great job on adding this in looks like this game is going to be pretty epic. Good luck with everything on this project and i'm really looking forward to playing this when it's released!

The new combo system was implemented after the Spiderman video was recorded.

That combo stills exists because Web throw does not cause ground bounce. But like I mentioned before, actually pulling that off takes some rather fine tuned timing to do, I've managed to do it once so far myself and only once.
