Hi, ill introduce myself a little.  ::salute::
Im Daeron ive do some sprite works for PDC and CFAS, and i want to sprite a character for RMM.
Heatman from megaman 2:

Some ideas about the character:
I would like to stick with the chubby feeling he has.
I think that sumo slaps would fit with the punches, also, the kicks could use some fire from the propulsors.
Any ideas are welcome of course!

Hey Daeron! Nice to see you here, and I already told you this, but Heatman is looking very good so far :thumbsup:. Using Honda as a base for the punches will be something nice, as he isn't a very common base.

Heatman looks awesome, I love the animations.  I'm happy I was able to help you with the face and design.  I always say the run is one of the hardest parts of the character to make and you nailed it.   =D>

If you want a chubby feel to Heatman, might I suggest either his mid-air Heavy punch or Heav kick be a move sending him straight into the ground.

Hey Daeron, welcome to IMT.

Your Heatman looks great. The animations are fluent & appear to have agood amount of frames. This should make a great addition to RMM. Keep up the good work.

I've been thinking....Megaman could have a special intro against Heatman where he enters the stage riding on item-2, (Alot of people use item-2 for the dissapeering block part in Heatman's stage)

I must say, I'm impressed.

Heat Man's animations look really good and buttery-smooth, and his idle stance perfectly captures his laid-back personality!

Also help me to decide about the heavy kick, should i do a Spartan kick? or a small jump while he kicks with both feet (like that wrestling move)

A Dropkick? You could have Heatman do a roundhouse kick like Ryu's HK.

He will retain his legs inside the zippo
He will not be able to use the legs on the crounched kicks but ill come up with original things.

A barrel of fuel will fall from the sky, and heatman would drink it.
Then, a gauge meter (its that correct?, gauge meter?) will show up, showing how many  fuel heatman have.

Then some bases will power up like this:

almost all attacks who uses palms or feets will sprout fire now, spending the fuel bar when u use them.

I mean, it's your char, do whatever you want with him and if you see people doesn't like it, just make the changes ;)

A VERY GOOD IDEA !!!!!!!

but, Heatman can make flame without use fuel ... (exemple : the flame sheild around him)

as an super attack, you could do this :

-Atomic Fire (already make)

-Fire Sheild
Heatman make a flame around him

-Fire charge
Heatman burn and charge on the ennemis (as in megaman 2 or power battle)

-Fire Buster (the technique used by Megaman)
shot a flame on the ennemis and you can charge the buster for increase the power of the shot

-Fire punch
as the falcon punch ...

But i will like to omit the fire shield, there are some chars with shields already.
also, heatman would do fire attacks without spending Fuel, the fuel power up just upgrades some basic attacks.

Let me explain my moveset as i imagine it:

Specials:

Atomic fire:       :4 :1 :2 :3 :6  :bp           (Launch fire to the sky, like it does on mm2)

Zippo Missile:  Hold  :4 then  :6 :bk          ( Like E.Honda missile, just like heatman does it on mm2)

Burning spittle:      :2 :1 :4 :bp(chargeable)(works like megaman atomic fire, but he splits the fire from his mouth)

Sumo weight:  Hold  :2 then  :8 :bk             (similar to Honda´s second special)

Release gas: Hold  :4 then  :6 :bp               (heatman release an innofensive small cloud of gas that travels slowy on the stage, when it contacts with any heatman fire attack its just burst in flames)

Hypers:

Super atomic fire:   :2 :3 :6 :bp :bp   (powered version of Atomic fire)

Refuel:          :6 :3 :2 :1 :4 :bk :bk          (heatman drinks fuel, powering up some basic attacks)

Bunker body:    :2 :3 :6 :bk :bk          (boost defense and grants super armor for a short period of time)
                                                             

lvl 3 hyper:  Secret for now sorry :P

Exemple : sumo weight, When you execute the command, it will execute a hight jump + a aeral attack, right ?

No.  If you don't attack fast enough, you jump, but that is the same as Zangief's 360 command.  But yeah, Guile used the exact same command Daeron described for that move for his somersault kick in MvC2, as did Chun Li for her spinning bird kick in TvC.  Other MvC-styled MUGEN characters that use a CHARGE :2 ,  :8 + attack command are Jon Talbain by Sabaki and Hulk by OneWingedAngel.

Great work as usual. For the diving headbutt if there's a flipping forward jump for Megaman (never checked his sprites out too closely) then that'd work great for the transition frames back to his stance. If he hits, it could be played backwards and could be a flip backwards off the opponent into his stance.

Hi guys! Long time not posting news about Heatman.
Also i got some problems with my old account, so i moved to this one...
But enought talk lets get to the point:

Feel the HEAT offff HEATMANNNN!!!!

Ok so i managed to make that animation, still not sure of his use... could be taunt, ending, intro or even part of some hyper...   
Or a special, like he charges his special bar slowly...  and by slowly i say slowly XD  not like broly or other cheap sayajin mugen characters.

So whats his status till now?
-added the yellow knees detail in all previus animations  (yuhuuu!)
-nearly sprite finished

Whats left?
-some kicks
-aerial blows
-some get hits
-more intros and endings

-Edit- Holy cow!  just noticed a fatal error in that anim... ill correct it as soon as i can... (lets see if you notice it :P)

aniway, i would like to hear ideas for his level 3 special.
what kind of attack should be? or it should be a transformation?

there is no relation with MegaMan.EXE serie ... (and pokemon also...)

Well, initially, the original Project-XR was going to have the characters do what was called and "EXE-Out", where they would transform into the BN version of themselves either for a duration of time or as a Hyper move. So yeah, having him transform into his EXE version is not out of the question at all.

Ok, so I have an idea for what that animation you made could be used for, Daeron.

My idea is basically that you use the animation to start a Hyper where the flame starts at Heatman's head, and then moves to cover his body. Then, the fire rushes into the sky and causes a burning meteor shower.

Alternatively, the fire could just explode horizontally in a wave of burnination.

Just an idea. It could also be a taunt or a winpose. Heck, whenever I look at it, I imagine Dio. "WRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY"  :D

Heatman will only have two ofensive hypers + the lvl 3 hyper
the other 2 hypers will power ups, one will boost the defense for a period of time, and the other will power up the basic attacks (the one you can see in earlier pages)

I remember that, then the argument was that the EXE robot was a different robot then the original robot so the EXE-Out made so sense.   ;*))

fire version of the Toskoi ripp off :)
It so big that i think this should be the hyper version, and we could leave a smaller one as the special move...
I think the previus animation we talked could go pretty well in this hyper.

Also he will turn arround using the stage wall, like the maximun spider, but with only 2 directions (left and right)

Megaton Press    emmm i mean  "Zippoman Press"

This will be the finishing move for the "Heat missile" Hyper
Also that move without fire, has chances to become a special... like E.Honda second move, but steping in the wall, like gambit.

So seems that Heatman overall style its like a mixture of Sumo and Wrestling :D

hmm good idea but i say make alll fire not a streambeam. like his head goes away when he bends over and the top of the zippo flips all the up and he fires a huge longe stream of fire last hit about 9 times count when connected. maybe more. good for a level 3 hyper.  :thumbsup:

they might already had this concept in mind tho. just adding a lil more to your idea ya gave homie in detail. :thumbsup: ::salute::

I spoke with Daeron, he voiced Heatman himself.  I have heard the voices and I think it's very unique, he did a great job on it.  It's English with a Japanese accent.   :)

Avoid to make stereotype comments. not all spanish says ME GUSTA in every speech.
Spanish and Portuguese have some hard accents, specially when we say the R word, which can be something close to British English and, in some aspects, japanese.

That isn't an attempt to make HeatMan stereotype. You all get me wrong. ~X(
I just wanted to say, that I only know a HeatMan, that sounds like in "MegaMan: The Power Battle".
Excursion (if that was really Excursion), for example, made an very classic HeatMan.
But yeah, I REALLY should hear the voice first. Maybe, the spannish voice does sounds like MMPB-HeatMan as well. But anyway, I still like, hwere this project is going. Keep up the good work! :thumbsup:

Trust me, it's a great voice, different then other custom voices.  It fits perfectly.   :thumbsup:
