Resizing Character without adjusting the x and y axis??
« on: October 28, 2014, 08:38:36 PM »
Hey guys,

I know when you upscale an character you have to adjust the x and y axis together, though, I wanted to know if there is a way that the sprites would automatically go to the correct axis, or, if you can resize a group of sprites together and the axis becomes correct??

Hope this makes sense.

Thx for the help.

Resizing the sprites, or simply scaling up. If it's resizing the sprites, no, you have to fix it up. Axis is measured from top left of the sprite. If you want you can export them with FF3, figure out the axis lines and simply double each value. You'll still have to go and do some manual fixing though.

Alternatively, rip them from the sff using something like animget with the whole BG set to 1 colour and the axis turned off, then scale up and bring them back in based on the first image which you position correctly.
