Loganir has joined me on this one too so we are at it again..
some of the old moves will be changed for new ones. if you seen wucash and hobgoblins spideys game previews, then you seen some of this . his sprites are getting also a revamp.. some of the basics will change and then we have all the great ideas that loganir and me are working on.. so anyways i have shown this before on unlimited forum and i think its good to show it here too..

Actually to make clear to all this is not a update, the character will be recoded from scratch and will be very different.

We also decided adding stuff to the character to be more accurate to his comic book classic version.
I mean adding to his costume the electric patterns on his legs, boots and gloves
here's one of Verz sheets I've been adding that extra stuff... work in progress.

well, i called it an update but loganir is right since we doing mostly everything different in a way.. specially codes are from scratch.. he will totally look and play different. about intros and wins, we not there yet.. we still working on many ideas for different things.. it is for msh2, as a matter of fact all the characters that we will be working on are for the game.. maybe loganir and i will give more news about this later.. we hope you guys like this character too and will keep you updated with more stuff on electro..

Yup. I see two dynamic duo's. You - Loganir and Acey - Zvitor. Probably the best two tag teams in mugen right now. But, even with this enormous amount of talent and willing, are you guys the only ones who will finish MSH2? I mean, two guys and still many characters remaining could be very hard to accomplish.

there is nothing bad for 2 guys to make a full game, look at hobgoblin and wucash, they did so much on that spidey game, but hob, had to go serve in the army and wucash got really busy but their game was almost done.. the whole thing here is called time... also there has to be some dedication into it too.. and as i seen loganir is a guy thats really dedicated and i think we can pull it off.. also some of the characters for the game have a lot of work done so dont be surprise :)
we also working at a great pace so its cool for now..like i said we will let you guys know more about our ambitions and plans..

As previously mentioned, I loved that there's little electricity around him during the idle.Yes we plan this also for basic moves.... and maybe depending on power level bar with some extra sparks.

about been fans of characters from comics, i do understand what you say.. i actually didnt make electro because im a fan of the character but because of the potential he has for a game character.. maybe im the only one that think this way but there is a lot of characters that i dont like from comics but for game purposes, they will be cool to make.. but one thing i learned from my time in mugen is that to make a great character sprite wise and move wise, it really takes a lot of time and dedication.. code wise i cant speak but i imagine all the troubles that guys like loganir, zvitor, acey and other talented guys go thru with all this codes..

It was a long time ago when I saw Verz's Electro WIP for the first time and then I was just amazed about his skills but the re- edited concept for him is WOW :o. I have no words. I remember I tried to help him with a teleportation move in an open thread but compared with loganir or verz skills, Im still in kindergarden.

well, i cant take all the credit.. it was loganir who gave me a hand with the heads from the beginning of electro.. and now its him that came out with the idea of doing the costume closer to the original.. i think you can say that im a little lazy but guys like loganir and maccready like to push me beyond the normal..lol...

Plus, that would be a lot more of a strong kick. The current one is used quite a bit with a lot of characters, and I think it would be cool to stray away from it even if only a little. It looks cool as is, so take that how you want. I'm pumped either way. 8)

About the eletric effect... actually that`s not hard to do... you almost guessed right, It's just a helper with several explod layers triggering at random times for the stand state... The color you can achieve with palfx to affect all explods in that helper. On Electro`s case I`m using different palfxs triggered by the palette choice.

You could make the electrocution sprites look like a taunt or absorption anim, then add a poweradd to his -2 state to represent him absorbing electric attacks whenever his shock anim plays. It might be to cheap to add a lifeadd to cancel most of the damage.

I think heavy d from king of fighters could make a good base to be the radio guy
regardless of all that I love the sparks on the radio itself and if the transformation is going to be that slow maybe give the white siloeitte some lighting too

Missing smoke coming from the radio melting and the gray effects it's suppose to be in the color of that palette eletrical fx. Each palette having a specific color for the lighting fx, like blue.. yellow and variations not done in that intro yet. ;)
I like it, I just don't understand why there's a radio just sitting there in the middle of nowhere. Like if he were fighting Nick Fury on the helicarrier or something. Guess SHIELD Soldiers like their music too. LOLLOL!!! But you didn't know it? Spiderman villains love to get in the mood before a fight listening Spiderman theme from Ramones!!! Talking seriously now, that's the music I'm thinking to put to play on this radio. :)

I think it's great and I was thinking maybe instead of it coming out nowhere. you could have a guy come bopping in with the radio on his shoulder...a shock and the radio drops with the same sparks you got going now and he appears.You know what... that can possible work too and makes more sense, nice idea! I'll check with Verz about it.

1- each punch varies the distance/speed he can travel. But he would go to the attack pose only if P is not being held. If the animation reached a certain time and the P button is still being held, he will just end the move (ie no attack). This could trick the oponent, since you can fake the attack.
2- Make it a contact-only move. IE it will just attack if the dash connects.

A special and a hyper move, these eventually will replace some moveset of the beta around.
I'm also making a config file to select if you want Electro triggering shock anims from chars (when they have it).

just nitpicking, but the enemies should not be able to recovery after an eletric strike like that (in both cases)
nitpicking 2, but I think you should use only one color on the effects. or they are blue, or they are yellow (which makes more sense).

I dunno what you meaning about recovering after eletric striking. There's nothing wrong about it... btw exactly what I did on Thor thunderstrike and other moves from chars around.

About the eletric strike, its just my personal opinion. After a hit with an eletric discharge, I don't think the char would be able to be recovering so fast. And yes, I think its something weird on other chars too (even in MVC3). But again, its me.

Yes that sand always been there... but also there's plans for a update of Sandy, without sand covering him always. But this will take awhile since i just briefly talked about this with Mac. ;)

We decided for a new stand to make this char quickly recognizable as new and different.
So I've been cooking this new stand for Electro by some time,
here a screenshoot anim ( don't mind gif colorloss, in game it's much better)

This is another special, a anti-aerial.
Not exactly the eventual "captain corridor" kind of type we used to know,
since there's a increase of size and startup time with buttons pressed.
I plan also making this a chargeable move... maybe.

That is nice! It could be a dash move and you will have two options (lets say the command is QCB+P):
1- each punch varies the distance/speed he can travel. But he would go to the attack pose only if P is not being held. If the animation reached a certain time and the P button is still being held, he will just end the move (ie no attack). This could trick the oponent, since you can fake the attack.
2- Make it a contact-only move. IE it will just attack if the dash connects.

Yes I've seen that, it's a nice suggestion.... actually I'm cooking something similar to this,
like Cyclops "Break Kick" special with that + hit when connecting.
The anim when you posted before was 2 mixed and are meant for his Dash foward and Megawatt destroyer hyper, so the special will be something different.

Still a work in progress in need of some adjustments, AI and other minor stuff.
His full hyperchain level 3 currently in the works and almost ready, but a small part can be seen on this video.
Working non stop these last days on Electro, hope you guys like this preview.

warecus, if you look closely when electro does his electric moves, there is a gas after that but its quick.. look at it like orange, its there and if you look good, you can see it..I'm no scientist, so I'm curious as to why is there a gas there

about the gas thing, well, thats something they did in the movie from what i know.. like ionized gas of some sort that is supposed to be produced by electricity i guess.. loganir knows more of this because he was the one that found out about this, the guy have a sharp eye for this things.. and from the get go he told me he was going to try to simulate the same thing.. this goes to show how great loganir is... little things and details like this is what makes things different and better..
the fx and everything does look a lot better in game so you guys will see when the time comes that we release the character..
