See the name of the topic. I have a few words to say, but I don't mean to offend anybody...and plus, when I look for the information that I seek on this board, I can't find it. It has to do with some creations on the MvC2 section. May I proceed with my questions?

Your questions is very cryptic, parhaps you should have just asked the quetion you intended to rather than opening a topic called "i don't want to offend." You are lacking a topic in your discussion.

Anyways, do you mean the MvC2 databse section? Maybe you should save us all some time and say what you intend on saying.

Alright. Since someone replied, I'm going for it. Keep in mind I do not intend to upset anyone. Here goes:

of those MvC chars are neat, especially the Magneto. Matter fact, this post is mainly about Magneto. In the .def file it says the author is Kong, so this may be to him?

Why does it seem like this char, along with Sabretooth and Omega Red, are like...cheaters? Something is really wrong with them. This isn't to put the creator down, but there's just some things that aren't right with the characters. Sometimes when they're about to die (which is RARE) their life bar refills. Is there something that I don't know? They're nearly untouchable...

However, if this wasn't the case....I'd say this Magneto is the best one by far. Can I get some feedback?

I think this Magneto is the only one with the new moves and stuff though, if I'm not mistaken. Magneto is the main one I'm worried about, I found the old Sabretooth I was looking for. I can do without Storm, too.

Actually tons of them have new moves, Colossus and such. What your concern is what we call AI or Artificial Intelligence. Kong makes really strong AI for his characters they actually fight like a living person who kows what they're doing, so they're not as easy to beat as most other mugen characters where no AI is implimented.

Nah, it'sl like...I noticed one time while Spiderman 2.0 fought his Omega Red, Red was blocking and Parker did Maximum Spider, the kick when right through Red while he was blocking instead of him bouncing off like a normal block. Then with Mags, it's not just his shield that makes him untouchable, but how he'll continually block as well. I heard of this guy called the Pacifist or something, who made a few "AI Patches" for chars. I don't have a problem with difficult AI, it's just there really is something wrong with these chars. Magneto's life bar replenishes when you're about to kill him, and I don't think that makes sense. I haven't seen it in anybody else from Kong thus far, but I'm about to turn my game on and find out.

Well...I've been a fan, but I never really kept tabs on creators until maybe early 2007. I respect all creators to tell you the truth, and wish I could do some of this stuff but I can't find the time I'd like to sit down and fool with coding, and lately my comp has been giving me problems. I had photoshop and intended on trying to start spriting but...my comp crashed, and during the reformat I mistakenly erased my backup internal HD. So here I am searching for many chars all over again....and I happened to stumble upon this time, and figured I'd give you all a try.

I don't know if the Magneto on the main website is the same as the one on Kong website before Kong left he last updated Magneto aswell as his other MVC2 character September 9,2008. He did change some things well I know he added a portraits.

Is there a certain way to put these patches into the char? I ask because what I thought was supposed to do was just replace the files that were in the char with the ones in the patches. Upon doing so to Magneto, Juggernaut and Omega Red, the changes I saw were for the worse.

Magento left clones everywhere, Omega Red became a wuss, and Juggernaut shrunk. Needless to say, I went back on those changes.

Thats why I ask if there was a different way I was supposed to use the updates.

No, you applied them right, but your version of Magneto might be a different version than the one shinra made the patch for (I don't think he's updated those patches since this summer, but I could be wrong).

Changing Juggernaut's size back to normal is easy - just open up his .cns file and change "xscale" and "yscale" to 1. Shinra resized a bunch of Kong's larger character's for some reason....

As for Omega Red being a wuss, well I think that's just how shinra wanted him to be. I personally don't have an issue with Kong's original AI for this character (just make sure you grab the latest version of him from Kong's Mediafire folder).

The Magneto patch from shinra was for an older edition than the current one in Kong's folder.
