Hi Beximus!

One question: You can show a concept of Erida and Nemesis, or Olympus Satellite/Erobos Shuttle stage?

I'm very curious about this E_E''


I'm inspired about this game. This inspires me to make my own MvC1 based edits[I need only to learn codes to combos/air combos :P ] like: Gallon, Sagat, and Gen[In MFG forum, you can see my progress] for now =P

  She's been renamed Medusa to better fit her character bio.  Li-kun and i worked together to finalize this look for her.

She's a victim of human enhancement experiments and doesn't know who she is anymore.  All she can remember is pain.  Her consciousness is filled with anger, hatred, and misguided malice.  She dedicates what's left of her fading sanity to protecting Nemesis so that she may succeed in ending human existance.

She's a violent close combat fighter that moves quickly relying on disorganized and frenzied attacks.
she has no projectiles.  she can be summed up best as a berzerker.

You confront her in arcade mode aboard the Erebos Shuttle.  The stage is inside a ship that leaves from an underground base before heading up into the clouds, through a storm, and into the upper atmosphere before entering low orbit to dock at the Olympus Sattelite loading bay.

I don't have any concept work of the stages or nemesis yet sorry.

The Olympus Sattelite stage where you fight Nemesis is a fusion of ancient greek and cyberpunk.  It's a large garden that was used as a therapeutic environment for more stable enhanced humans.  Protected from space, it has a view of the earth and will be one of the wider variety of stages in the game.

I don't have any concept work of the stages or nemesis yet sorry.


Nice!! About arcade mode, you will code the chars to make a real "Story plot" to looks like this: stage1 = Metro Dream, 2=Valley Bliss, etc..... 10 = Olympus Sattelite? In a perfectly order?

Yes actually arcade mode will have a specific stage order

First three stages are meant to show the atmosphere of where the story takes place

Metro Dream
Valley of Bliss
Paradise Dome

(The threat of Nemesis is exposed and searching for the gaia corporations base begins as people flee the city)

Lethean Stream
Dimension Tide

(The Assault Begins)

Make a intro showing Medusa/Nemesis in two styles:

- Then will explode to make a imponent power up to show herself

- Or make the screen black-out and fade in, during this time, the 2nd clone explodes and show a spark.

It's just a idea :)

You're using the VSelect tool? I always use that tool, it's nice to make a order of matches =)

Some suggestions for FX:

- The level 3 Tag super ["S Variable Combination"] should be a "devastation" style BG, like in MvC1.

- Medusa and Nemesis should use unique spark colors[Golden for Medusa and red for Nemesis]

I have considered this as an option, but only if i can't find anything else that could work.  I want to avoid using voices that are easily recognizable.

In fact, that was a bug, like the projectile having being affected by the palfx too.

Probably only sprites to another coder make his version.

The "C. Universe version" characters is only private and exclusive to Full Game.

My focus is purely on the full game.  I'm considering after the game is finished to make versions of the characters with the tag mode removed, variables for my game removed, general special effects added, sounds, other things that run off the shared effects files, etc.  so that they can work in open mugen.

It would take a considerable amount of work

After all things is worked, you're considering the chance of calling some coders to convert that characters to Open Mugen? Will be a nice, soft and clean help.


Also, I hope stages can be released also[Not all, because we can have the good and old versions of Valley of Bliss, Metro Dream, Underworld and Alien Temple :P ]. I love the variation of your training room[Perfectly fusion of CPS2 style and MvC2 style bg]
OBS: Some bugs in DEMO:

- Vega can use "Knee Press Nightmare" in air, after Double Knee Press cancelling.

- Captain Commando can use "Captain Storm" after air[and VERY high air] Captain Fire, also cancelling. In training as you can see, if you cancelling so much, various super pauses appears. I noticed this bug in Splode's version of Captain Commando.

- One of Bulleta's supers causes Hugo in bug pose.

- Irrelevant bug: Ken's taunt speaks: "Shoryuken" :P

these sound like simple cmd,cns oversights.  I can almost see the code in my head.

I believe its "Hyper Apple For You", because I remember in this hyper, Hugo gains fire spark when the last hit happens.

Oh yeah another hugo bug, His super armor state leaves him invincible( He won't take damage) and some multi-hitting move (Like hypers) won't take him out of super armor

I think Nemesis ain't started now, because of Medusa creation.

After Medusa sprite sheet is complete, he and Li-Kun will start to create Nemesis [The only thing he spoiled some pages before, is Nemesis will be "She", like Medusa and should be a hybrid of Technology and enhanced human, like Mech-Gouki, but a original character]

Medusa and Nemesis will be a "relationship", like on Ancient Greek Mythologies. [Medusa lives for protecting Nemesis, in this game. That's why "Erida" name is changed to "Medusa", to fit more.]
