Capcom confirms more GBA titles including Mega Man Battle Network 3 will be heading to the Wii U VC

New GBA titles along with Mega Man Battle Network Black and Mega Man Battle Network White will be heading over to the Wii U’s Virtual Console in the coming months, according to Capcom’s confirmation to IGN.

“We are working on bringing this and other GBA titles to the North American Virtual Console. We’ll have more information about the lineup in the coming months. For Australia and Europe, we are still in discussions about the release of Virtual Console titles for those markets.”

It doesn't get much clearer than that!

The Smash-Fest events will be held in both the United States and Canada on Wednesday, June 11th from 4pm until 9pm and again on Saturday, June 14th from Noon to 5pm.

In the U.S., "the first 70 attendees at each event to pre-order Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS or Wii U will receive a rare collectible Super Smash Bros. gold coin (one per customer, while supplies last). You will also get a $5 My Best Buy certificate when you pick up your fully paid game upon release."

In Canada, "the first 25 attendees in line on Wednesday, June 11 and Saturday, June 14 at each event will receive a rare collectible Super Smash Bros. gold coin (one per customer, while supplies last). There will also be lots of great deals in store and online so be sure to check them out while at the event."

For those of you in the U.S., you can find your nearest participating Best Buy location by visiting their website, then selecting your state and city.

For those of you in Canada, you can find the list of participating locations on Mario's Hat and on the Best Buy Canada website.

The U.S. site also notes "Store exclusions are subject to change without notice. Please check with your local store before attending." This would probably be a good idea in Canada, too.

That was the SA-X. Basically it's a an X parasite (I kind of parasite that copies it's host). One copied Samus (Actually more then one but that's besides the point.) the video basically makes it out that Megaman wasn't fighting Samus at all, but a SA-X, when it died it turned into it's second form.

The SA-X and X Parasites are from Metroid Fusion for the GBA.

New Mega Man Animated Series in the Works

Despite there continuing to be nothing in the way of new games, Mega Man is getting a new animated series that'sexpected to debut in 2017 to celebrate the franchise's 30-year anniversary[/color], Capcom announced today.

Details are light at the moment, but Capcom will partner with Japanese company Dentsu Entertainment to produce a 26-episode series. Dentsu, which will own the worldwide broadcasting and licensing rights, has enlisted the help of Man of Action Entertainment to write and create the series.

Man of Action's team consists of Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle, with those individuals having previously been responsible for series like Ben 10, Generator Rex, and Big Hero 6 (the original comic).

This isn't the first time Mega Man will be adapted to another medium; there have been a number of comics and manga in Japan, while there were two animated series (Mega Man: Upon a Star and Mega Man, pictured right) in the early-to-mid 1990s.

Beyond the target launch date of 2017, there's no word on exactly when or how the new series will be distributed.

I don't feel good about this. I hope to god this is not a repeat of that terrible western cartoon we got all those years ago. If it turns out to be anime in style and close to it's game roots then maybe it might be good....but I have lost faith in companies making anything close to the source material these days.

Plus this is just rubbing salt in an already open wound with Mega Man fans as we have been spat on since Inafune left Capcom. Capcom....that's become a dirty word for me over these years. I don't want a animated series, I want the game series back and in full swing again. If that means rebooting it, then fine as long it is either classic or the X series or both.

For the cartoon show Please be drawn animation not cgi stuff..

That was a crazy fight between Megaman and Samus.

I saw this Quints Revenge fan game. It looks neat.

Now that you mention it, watch this show turn out to be all CGI.....better be traditional animation as that is the only way to be true to the series. I also hope it is not another EXE type show, never cared for the whole "Pokemon" styled Mega Man stuff. They need to stick to classic Mega Man so anything from Classic-Mega Man Zero is all good by me. No goofy kids cartoons...though that is likely what this will be in the end.

Though something tells me the show will get cancelled before it even becomes reality.......just like Mega Man Legends 3! Sorry, that had to open a few wounds there....though I never was a "Legends" fan. I prefer good ole traditional 2D Mega Man. I just don't trust Capcom to bring back the Blue Bomber with any sort of dignity. I'm too jaded now in my old age after seeing the whole industry change so drastically. Ok, rant over..*happy thoughts..happy thoughts*......long live Mega Man!
