This is just a small list I could think of at the moment:

a decent Optimus Prime and starscream

Turok
Raven from Teen Titains
She Hulk
Lady Death
Dr Strange (yes he's being made but there has been no updates for about 1.5 years)
The Next Avengers
Briareos Hecatonchires from Appleseed
a non-chibi Samus
a updated The Red Arrmer
Toxin
Marvel Zombies
Witchblade
The Darkness
Black Panther
A Warmachine that isn't a complete rip off from IronMan
John Stewart - Green lantern

Most definitely with you on that note. I've heard someone was creating Kairi and Allen Snider. I"ve seen sprites for them both, but never a release. Maybe that's something character creators should look into. But among them, I want to see SFA/SMvC/SNK style Mortal Kombat Trilogy (and beyond such as Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon) characters hit the stages of Mugen. Just to name a group or two. I'll be back with more.

DEMAN made three Street Fighter EX Characters which are Shadow Geist, Garuda, and Skullmanina. unless you were talking about two-dimensional sprites since Street Fighter EX was 3-D Game, I am not really a fan of 3-D dimensional characters for the Mugen Engine, but here is his site if you want them.

I think his name is Ryu something. Last name starts with an H.
