It's not ggxa... :-??
And not chars but stages from groove.

Oh oops. Either way I stand by what I said. :P

As for the other game, the floors aren't really flat so it wouldn't look too good for this project.

Fits?

Same problem with Alpha Ryu as with the Guilty Gear stuff, its just a downscaled sprite. As for that other Ryu..I dunno, it looks kinda awful to be honest. :D

And I believe we discussed the turtles stuff before. The size is fine but it really is just too cartoony.

What harpy? You mean the Griffin you just posted from the same game? Go for it, it doesn't look that bad.

And that Power Ranger sprite is interesting. Is there a full sheet somewhere? I'm curious to check it out. From what I see though it is pretty good.

Yeah, Griffin. (no love for Pegassus? lol)
Looking again...its style doesn't matches too much

Power Ranger:
http://sdb.drshnaps.com/display.php?object=1383

but I've resized it to 90% and I don't think its bad.

Does this fit?

With the exception of the slight possibility that someone may create Mega Man from the Wonderswan game, I'm pretty much trying to avoid any super-deformed looking characters in this game, so no.

Yeah, Griffin. (no love for Pegassus? lol)

Power Ranger:
http://sdb.drshnaps.com/display.php?object=1383

but I've resized it to 90% and I don't think its bad.

Haha if the Pegasus didn't look so cutesy I'd say yeah in all honesty. But yeah Red Ranger is perfect.

Megaman .EXE isn't SD. But that char is, for sure.

the sheed was scaled to 90% on photoshop. I will make some tests to see how it ends. The original size is so close, so the lose of details aren't too big.

WELLWAIT....

I don't often encourage resizing because it can look messy and pixelated. I really just said yes to Ilu's Power Ranger character because its seemed to look good, otherwise it is not advised.

Its on my list :)

Second that, and I will explain why (calma, segura a onda, rs):

- Resizing on PS need to follow some rules, like the "neares neighbor", to avoid blur.
- plus, resizing a whole sheet gives different results, on some cases, than to resize one by one.
- you can have something tricky, sometimes, if you play with pixel aspect on PS, takes a screenshot and paste again.
- Sometimes, you can't simple resize and its done, because you will lose details. But since ZV is a spriter, I know he will have good results.

another important thing:

- The scale was made on a 10% value, so it will makes good results sometimes. Any number bigger than that will ruin it.
Plus, some non rounded values, like 9,8245 could have better results.

And, at least:

- On game resize, if handle well, can archive way better results than any other method. BUT you need to be careful to not modify the pixel resolution or you will just f**k everything. SNES games, sometimes, has some scalled sprites, playing witht the resolutions. We have to be careful with this. Positions need to have something tricky, which could be hard if the creator hasn't too much experience.

For example:

Normal char -

Quote
pos = 40,60

Scaled char:

Quote
pos  =  ceil(40*const(size.xscale)),  ceil(60*const(size.yscale))

Its nothing too hard, but could threat someone. Its just to use the normal position between the "()".

So, I recomend to make tests befor to go with one or another way. Scale on game is a non-destructive way, so it needs to be tested first.

Spawn is perfect to me. (just maybe edit his feets, because they aren't on the same line)

Luke a HUGE sword, huh? :)

In this case the feet aren't that bad because they're only a pixel or two apart.

Something about Luke doesn't seem right. Maybe just because his hair is so poofed up, it makes him look too tall. BUT..looking at him in comparison he doesn't look that bad. He is just barely acceptable, soooo yes. I say ok to both characters.

Yeah, definitely keep the original palette no matter what.

You can add as many additional palettes as you wish, but personally I don't think those are too great. Perhaps there isn't enough contrast between each shade or something I'm not sure..

Title Screen updated a bit. Some new graphics as well as an animation which includes a static effect and different characters fading in and out.

See, no need to worry about roster limits. ;)

Pretty cool, I liked it so far. Has room for more chars.
(and its better to use the stable release of Mugen, not RC8)

about the stage...I think its style is clashing too much.

Oh yeah, I should update the engine version..

And I know Oddworld has a unique and more detailed style, but it does fit in in the sense that it has flat floors and isn't cartoony or bright. So I think its a good balance.
