Yeah but I still think it's kind of bs that frieza honestly thinks that with four months of training he could defeat goku.

Child Prodigy Man. Broly never trained at all either and look how strong he naturally is.

If he knew this why didn't he train after he was defeated in namek? He probably thought with his minor upgrades and with the help of cold it would be enough. That's my only guess but to surpass goku in 4 months in what took goku years of training will be something else.

Well Freeza is a prodigy and naturally much stronger than saiyans so i guess gain much more power from training than Goku and Vegeta do, but 4 months is still in my opinion too short i mean cmon 4 month and he surpasses the androids, Cell, Buu and since this a movie also surpasses the other movie villains(unless they aren't canon to each other, which they probably aren't), and since Beerus is in the cover he might also be on the list. Unless that flaiming aura in the cover is a new form/power up  :-??

I for one can't wait for the movie and yes I agree 4 months seems like a stretch.

Yea it seems like Toriyama just doesn't want to try with plots anymore, even if Frieza is a prodigy(although he has trained before) 4 months to surpass ssj Vegito(Goku is now stronger) just seems well really stupid and highly unbelievable because that is a HUGE gap to close.

This is why any new villain will always be a better choice than a old one in a series like Dragonball because it just doesn't make sense. I mean come on Frezia knew about Buu because his father told him not to mess with him or Beerus so why wouldn't he train to be stronger than them if knew 4 months is all it would take.

Silly Toriyama

You also gotta consider. Frieza is a pompous @$$ who thinks he's god's gift to the universe. Of course he would think that's something that he could accomplish.
