During his conversation with Polygon as part of their Life in Japan feature, the director described such a title when asked about what he has on his developer bucket list. Instead of grabbing two of Bandai’s own franchises and calling it a day, Harada wants to bring together old-school characters created by Capcom, Sega, Koei Tecmo, SNK, Warner Bros., and even Data East for a crossover of monumental proportions.

Since many of the potential cast members would be too obscure for the general gaming community, the focus would obviously be on those players who have been enjoying fighters for much of their lives. “I’d want to have, ‘Not for casual users. Only for hardcore gamers,'” Harada said.

I have to admit that the idea DOES sound mouth watering.

As a long time gamer and lover of fighting games. This idea is long over due even for Harada who is the creator of Tekken and all the other fighting game franchises out there like SF and MK etc. Personally I won't mind it and welcome it and always wanted it but isn't it a little to late sort of speak. If this really happens he better have some sort of out landish idea and gameplay to even make us hardcore gamers old school ones at least to even say "well I'll play it", and not waste our money. Plus since MUGEN is been around for more than a decade and a half it's been already done. I'm sure these game designers know about MUGEN and that's why he brought up the idea about making a momumental Tekken crossover game with the other franchises since MUGEN has done it for many yrs now and people who know about it love it, like yours truely. Believe me when I say this, I buy lots of fighting games for my PS3, well only the ones I'm interested in but it'll make money, but the idea is not unique anymore and I know he knows this. I'm still down for this to happen though.  Peace
