Are you going to buy a Wii U?

With E3 closing up I'm wondering who is going to buy the first "next gen" home console?

Unlike everyone in the entire world, I'm actually OPTIMISTIC about the console

I waited out side in the cold drunk off my butt over nite for the wii for one reason. SMASH BROS. And i will do it again too.

Its sad but i only owned four games for my wii. I dont regret it ether. But thats due to the fact the the wii was cheap. No thats the factor for me. Pricing. if its cheap too then i will that whole thing over again for that one game. true fan right here.  (And no i dont have money to blow like that. as i said im a true fan.)

What I like most about Wii U is it's connotation (how it is looked at)

The Wii was seen as a very primitive, weak, kiddy gimmick. Thus, REAL games were usually only made by Nintendo, who saw Wii's potential (occasionally a few other games would chime in, a la TvC or RE4)

The Wii U is being marketed as "Yeah, it is family friendly...but more focused on core gaming."
Thus devs like Square Enix, Konami, Capcom, etc will know Wii U is a fully functional powerhouse.

I will get one but, it will be a good long while because I will need to save money for it. I think it will be a great system even though I hate the name but, what can you. I will call it the wii 2  instead of wii u just because the whole u thing is weird. I am looking forward to the next Zelda game, Pikmin 3, the next smash bros., some of the Mario games, some awesome 3rd party games, and whatever other games come out for it. I wish they would put 3ds games on wii 2 because I do not want to buy a 3ds.

I know I'll be buying it and I look forward to the new Nintendo properties being made available in the due course of time as well. I hope all my Virtual Console games can be transfered to the Wii U though.

I'm getting a WiiU for these reasons

-More powerful system
-More third party support
-Better online capabilities
-HD

The latter, being things I wanted most out of the system. I can't wait to see what Nintendo does with our old friends on this new, much more powerful system. Also, the gamepad and Pro controllers are just plain amazing.

I'm more focused on Smash 4, Mario, Zelda, and hopefully other IPs like Metroid, F-Zero, and maybe Pokemon

And of course, an original IP wouldn't hurt. I know Miyamoto-san recently made one for the 3DS (I think it was the 3DS) how was that BTW?

Oh yeah, my whole family is ready for new Mario Brothers, Mario Kart, and Smash Brothers in developement, plus the Arkham series is finally coming to Wii U.

Also they have and X-Box style controller at long last you can buy seperately.

It really isn't like a Wii V2, it is another brand new console, just so happens old controllers should be compatible with certain games. Thats like saying you won't get a PS3 since you have a PS2.
