Nah, I don't believe this one will be as good as the original making in 1982 with Arnold in it. We'll just have to keep our eyes open on this one.

Doesn't look anywhere as good as the original so far.. I'm just seriously hoping they use some of the original music, man, those Conan themes were so amazing.

Scar, i have read in a local newpaper here that the movie industry has a very good shortage of ORIGINAL writers. so they have no choice bu to rehash old stuff.

but aint the kicker is , why make remakes of great movies that are just movies that dont need them while there is so much crapage floating around the movie industry that desperately deserves and needs remakes but they dont seem to wanna do those any justice?

you know i always felt that way. certain obviously sh*tty movies need to be remade man. The classic need to be left alone UNLESS they do it right and get the right Director and writer to do them. Its all about whos managing the whole project or what director or writer wants to agree to do the flick. it depends man. For example. why would you get Anderson of Resident evil movies to do a remake of Blade Runner when you can get James Cameron or steven speilberg to do it? just sayin as an Example man.

Thats why im rooting for this one Mortal Kombat Rebirth flick. It looks way better than those first two wack movies. Jai white is in it so im pretty sure the fight scenes are gonna be hella cool and its gonna be bloody. i barely digested the first MK movie. sorry when Sub zero got killed instantly with a bucket of water i was done after that

. I was a MK fan boy at the time and i seen that flick as it could have been better with those fight scenes. FX and costumes were ok but lawd

..at the time i was used to watching Kung Fu movies. Even vandams blood sport and Kick boxer movie directors could have done a better job.

sh*t like that gets my goat is what im sayin with movies smh

Why does everyone assume it's a remake? It's a book not a movie franchise.

Conan is a beloved character, that while Arnold films were decenct werent exactly perfect depictions of the character.

Conan movies will carry on.

I bet if some lame a-hole like Triple H had been picked for this part the fanboys would be cheering over that talentless turd getting the part.

I read that in that old Rebirth thread we all made last year sometime i think. But it was just a rumor at the time. Now its official

. No fan boy by a long shot since i dont watch wrestlin like that. But that pretty boy playin as him i cant take serious. He looks corney. They coulda found some unknown actor dude to do the job. His acting talents are so so. I think hes from that show stargate? or battle galactica? cant remember. But eh The conan comics do have different images of em. I guess i favor the more Savage version of em. There are conan comics were the dude looks all pin up pretty but eh blah..that cat playin Conan should be Tarzan

. But then again maybe it will be good. I need to see more. I couldnt take the dude playing as Hitman (based on the game) serious at first until i watched the movie which i ended up liking honestly. He did decent, I oringinally wished Jason Statham did the role. Jason Turned it down though what i kept reading. Movie was cool IMO. I also couldnt stomach Christian bale as Batman when i was reading about it before release. I still had American Pyscho in my mind and was still fan boyed out over micheal keetons performance. But once i watched on cable (before batman begins came out) "Equalibrium" my radar went up about the dude on the super hero level. Then when i saw Batman begins in theaters i was i was blown away. So maybe this Conan flick will have that same effect

. Some folks may think this is a remake because its this dude playing that role, plus dont know much about the comic. Point blank the boy better not screw up the movie cuz so far it looks like straight to dvd with that promo

Oh ok. yeh i read somethin about that some time ago (along with that Scott Ridely ALIEN prequel and new Mad Max) but i thought it was flushed down the toilet cuz i never heard about it again. But this is cool

. Im curious about that. i havent seen blade runner in years man. always liked it growing up. i think ill get that on dvd for dirt cheap just to have now.
