You mean make Angel wings myself or take them from the CVG character? The CVG character's animation is taken from the Warzard character Lavia and they are not quite right for Angel.

the cvg character is mine, i had offered my help with this, but since i see your opinion on the wings, i see that it was moot to offer, i see nothing wrong with the wings but maybe just a bit more work on the spriting of them and the character itself, which i'm in the process of doing, cheers

Thanks for offering to help but the Lavia wings aren't your in the first place.  ;)

I'm glad to hear you're working on Angel some more. I'm still working on my chars, even the ones from years ago. Right now the wings are the best part of Angel (and the abilty to switch modes) but they are not quite right for Angel. Unfortunatly they are the best that you can possible find within the bounds of available mugen sprites. No fighting game had really good wings so the only thing left was Lavia once the Warzard sprites became available.



Unfortunately Angel is a really difficult character to create, the wings need A LOT more frames for each attack than any other mugen character because they are so big. With normal characters if you miss a fram people will hardly notice because the distance traveled is so little in the first place but Angel's wings have to travel much more distance to create an attack so there needs to be more sprites than in any other char to pull off the illusion. Also the sprites need to be realigned in a lot of spots, for example in animation 200, frame 2 and 3 are each too far to the right. Watch the feet and the crotch when aligning those sprites.

cool i'll look into that, if there is more you've noticed let me know since i am re-doing alot of it, i never noticed how long i made some of the wings to his back, i still think that the wings are good for him, and the alignment that you've just showed me will make him better, i appreciate any help i can get with this as i want him to be as good as he can be, i not sure about lavia arms being an issue though, just where i'm connecting angel to them

I was refering to why not use his wings from Angel as oppose to his Archangel wings

Yeah, the normal wings are the mutant power, so that would be the desired end result.

Wow! Sound like making wings has to be the most difficult thing in the M.U.G.E.N. world. I can see why so many game developers give up making them altogether.

So just to recap, apparently she's gonna grow wings, claws, and a tail depending on who she steals from. That was the plan I think.

Any other possible extras she can gain?

As of right now we'll do tail and claws, no wings. Other suggestion are welcome though.

WOW this rogue is gonna be one heck of a marvel character for sure! there is so many mutants she can gain from that we have here in mugen already , i am wondering if any more get made what else is to come. good job on doing her acey and looking forward to what next with her.  :thumbsup:

I have her at a stoping point right now, able to steal over 50 powers, she's far from done but each time I add the next set of powers she goes into a sort of unplayable mode since all the changes necessary.

That is the goal. I'm glad you guys are all anticipating this release. Even with all the features, stolen powers, hypers, flight, different costumes, jacket helper, AI, stolen body parts and all the favorite MvC2 combos my favorite part os the color changing skin.

and thats a top notch goal too. i can only imagine the moves and hypers she gains. Example : she stole hulks power ( i know he not a mutant tho lol ) and she turns in her face his green color and does one hyper of his but not limited to the actual MVC2 counter part but moreso the comic and cartoon style in she does a Gamma Clap hyper and the wave travel and rips up the ground as it goes. out the box idea i know but something i always look at hulk in cartoons and comics he does and happens. lol but this will be a benchmark Rogue for sure. i await the release acey cause she will be fully played in my mugen!  ::salute::
