Fighter Factory Ultimate - helpful hints
« on: June 23, 2009, 07:24:53 PM »
Here is where I will be presenting helpful hints on ways to use the new & improved functions that have been presented in Fighter Factory Ultimate...

--------

Palette Editor Feature

Remember in the good old days when you had to make a 256 color (8-bit) PCX file, run Palette Editor, open palette, then select pcx files, and convert...?? Well.. Virtualltek simplified it. Here's how it goes in the new version.

1. Open your character

2. Go to the sprites section

3. Click the plus symbol

4. Select the regular 256 color pcx sprites, then click Open

5. Input Group & Image number, when applicable

6. Click 'Shared Palette'

7. Click 'Apply Palette of the first image'

NEW Making Palettes

Okay.. well I bet you all are wondering.. "how the hell do I make palettes in FFU?" .... well... beats me..

If you want to make palettes the old fashioned way like you did in FFC, then I got good news for you...

Fighter Factory Portable retains the Palette Editor. No, the separate program is not available anymore, because the FFC updates aren't available anymore... but it is in the actual program still.. Just click the palette button in it...

DL Link for Fighter Factory Portable...

ah. Yeah, that hint was just for people who have already started making a character, and wanted to know how to utilize the feature in this version... I'm not sure how to actually make a palette in there yet, because before I just used the separate Palette Editor program in the regular FF update... but now.. I guess I'll try to figure it out soon...
