As much as I'd like to see another Big Boss chapter, a part of me really wants to see a sequel to the MGS 2 story and show how Raiden became the way he was in MGS 4....

they planned for mgs 5 after releasing 4 but they never gave much info about it except for the raiden TGS poster.
rumors say that they will probably announce an x360 version of mgs4 as well as 5 or another x360 exclusive mgs...i don't think that x360 is getting 4 myself but maybe a 4 substance is more likely if that even happens.

i want a new big boss game myself, mgs = snake, and big boss is just the same as snake, personally i'm not fond of raiden, and how they stressed the idea of raiden being a bigger cool than snake is never really worked for me (even tho they did try hard by making raided kill like 25 metal gears in mgs 2 and how he kills the gekos easily in mgs 4 while making snake struggle against a single metal gear or geko).

Well you see the thing is, Snake is an iconic character.

He's like the Japanese version of Batman.
Now imagine a game that was about Batman, you're 20% through the game, and all of a sudden you've been forced to switched to play as Robin which would be a look and soundalike of the Robin from those Joel Schumacher films.

Then you'd understand how the MGS fans felt when Snake was replaced in the remainder of MGS2.

Weird, why would Kojima care so deeply for a parody character?  So Kojima should end the series over one character?  It's strange because in Japan Raiden is one of the favorites among male MGS gamers.  Oh well.

I hope Raiden is the main man and MGS is my favorite series right next to God of War the story of Snake is done and Raiden is the man to step up and lead the series i mean i wouldnt mind maybe some playing time as Snake in MGS 5 but i think snakes appearance should be kept to a minimum let the series take off in a new direction.

But anyway, I think that Raiden received a lot of bad reviews for one reason: he wasn't Snake, he was exactly the same as MGS2 Snake, ability-wise, but the fact that he was a bit more "human" than Snake prompted ill will.  Then, in MGS4, Raiden became  the ninja character (every MGS game has a ninja-like character).  Which made him cooler than Snake for the moment.  But I always liked Raiden, because I saw Snake as a walking gun, but was different, yet the same.  Anyway, if MGS5 is about Raiden,

Meh. I didn't really care for Raiden in MGS4. Reasons.

1. High heels... wtf.
2. "I'm not afraid of death"...emo.....
3. He kind of had a few emo fits through out the game, the one that bothered me the most was at the end where he couldn't even recognize his own son.... which looks exactly like him!

Although I think after he found out everything his emo-ness was cured... I hope so. ..and he needs new boots. Not high heels.

i thought it was big boss too but it turned out that this is not big boss, it's said to be the perfect clone of big boss or the real son of big boss which means that he is entirely a new snake not mentioned before yet it's said that he played a rule in the classic mgs games, and mgs4, raiden is still might be the main character in the upcoming game but the one from this pic isn't raiden as well (it's said that this is "gray fox" and not raiden) making gray fox and raiden look like clones is off imo, if raiden even looked like gray fox then i guess snake would have noticed it in mgs2 or mgs4.

I always thought there was a connection between gray fox and raiden because if you look at young gray fox (Null) they actually do look alike and there stories are the same (emotionless white haired killing machine from africa)

there was no perfect clone, there was only the closer clone and that was solid snake not solidus, this one from the pic appears younger than solidus as well.

there were 8 clones, all of em died except 3 (solid, liquid and solidus) so he could bring more clones into action.

solidus did train radien and all but he was old when he lost his eye in mgs2, still it's a known fact that snake was the closest clone and not solidus, the new game might might play in 2 time periods making you play old and new chapters, so it's still might involve big boss, raiden and gray fox.

i haven't played 4 yet myself but i do know that kojima stories can be very messed up at aimes with things appearing out no where.
i do know hat solidus was a balanced clone like some sort of a solid liquid combination, maybe that explains his extra accelerated aging cus he was already old in mgs2 while snake was much younger, that actually makes more sense regarding solidus being a closer clone considering the aging factor.

If u got the right ending there was a conversation between ocelot and solidus stating that the perfect one lost the battle

start listening @ 6:33 it says that hes well balanced in the video also probably implying that hes supposed to be like inbetween the two but he also stated in mgs 2 that he was enhanced with more of big boss's leadership genes because hes supposed to be more of a field commander enhancing his charisma which is why he gained the presidency so easy

That would actually make sense then. With Solid Snake finding that one bandanna @ the end of MGS1, and after playing MGS4, my guess is that's not big boss, cuz Big boss was old as hell in MG1, and Gray Fox wasn't a cyborg ninja until after Solid Snake had defeated him in MG1. It has to be solidus wearing a eye patch to fool people. So this has to be a sequel to either MG1, or MG2, but it's definitely a prequel to MGS1.

The reason why it's called Lightning Bolt Action is cuz Raiden translates to Lightning Bolt.
That explains Raiden from MK's name, and Raiden shootin lightning in MGS4.

I do think it takes place after 4 cuz of the bandanna over his eye. I think this whole thing is just retarded cuz Raidens supposed to start a new life with his wife and kid. Also this game isn't being done by Kojima so expect nothing as spectacular as MGS3 or 4. However the guys who are responsible for 4 are working on the psp game. I wish I had a psp right now but whatever. I guess I'll have to settle for the crappy MGSR game... watch it be a rip off of Ninja Gaiden.
