Yep,some of them might have seeing it coming

Yugioh! 5D's takes place in the future of the old Yugioh series,between the Neo Domino City and a ruined part of that city called Satellite(which is pretty much a dumpster city of its own)
It revolves arround Yusei Fudo,the main character and his duels with trading card games.
I can't reveal too much of the plot,but it will be revolving arround 5 dragons,their holder who will be called Signers and an incident that turned Satellite into its current state 17 years ago

It introduces two new concepts in Yugioh:the first one and the most important one is the creation of Synchro Monsters(kind of a mix between fusions and rituals for those who know about it).The second one are the riding duels(Turbo duels in dub),which consist of a duel in a motor vehicle(mostly motorcycles)

This anime turned out to be much better of what i expected when i started to watch it(i was also skeptical about the whole playing cards in a motorcycle,and i'm glad i got over it)
It has more character development than previous series
(there is a backstory revolving an incident in Satellite)
If you liked Yugioh Duel Monsters(the first one that came out outside Japan),plz take a few moments and watch this one,because it has a very solid story,quite surprising plot twists and good card duels

Atm,57 episodes have been aired in Japan(25 in USA dub,but don't watch it,4kids ruined it as usual)

Little detail in episode 1:Rally is a boy,not a girl...4kids dubbed that wrong as usual,as revealed in a later episode

Anyway saw a couple of episodes, I dont like it when they duel on the bikes but the series is not my taste wt what i wanted yugioh to be...

5D's stands for 5 dragons...and you should be giving it one more chance.I was skeptical like you about the motorcycles but the duels are pretty good,specially after the Fortune Cup

i gave it a chance. i saw like 4 episodes. i thought the duels were great.
but the whole "two people with ultimate power in this world" is kinda getting old....
I dont think i will get use to motorcycle dueling though....

ugh. i tried so hard to watch it even though ive never been a fan of yu-gi-oh. its just horrible. whats the yugi's name in this one?

well,if you don't like it it's ok...i wouldn't recommend to watch the dubbed version by 4kids at all,because as they did with the original and GX,they killed it(and GX isn't completely dubbed)

Honestly,i liked this one better than GX by a landscape and despite the motorbike gimmick(which is well executed to my surprise,as i was reluctant of it when i first saw it) it's not been given good credit.
Watch the "Dark Signers" arc and tell me if despite the card games it was good plotwise

Didn't say I didn't like it, just stopped watching t after a certan point. I watched some eps in Japanese and they seem alright.

I have caught a few episodes of gx and 5ds and I say they both suck, the first was good up until it went too crazy. I stopped watching the show after the whole oricalcon thing ended cause that is where the show got too ridiculous for me. I did catch I few episode after that of the new tournament and the shadow game take them back to ancient times in Egypt but, at that point I had stopped care about the show.

Yugioh Duel Monster.. A series about possesed kid with crazy hair saving the world by playing a children's card game..
Yugioh GX.. A series about a preteen with a kuriboh for hair saving the world by playing a children's card game at school..
Yugioh 5Ds.. A series about a teenager with a fusion of Yugi and Jaden's hair saving the world by playing a children's card game on motorcycles..

I fear that if things keep going the way the have been, we will eventually be playing a children's card game in an old folks home with everyones hair on the same head.

I used to play and watch the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Back when I was in high school. I tried watching GX, but when I saw the cards talk....I stopped. I recently picked up on 5D's, its not bad, though I had to relearn duels and Synchro's summon conditions. I like the show, guess I should watch these since I've been watching the dub
