Whats the best way to keep a projectile from spamming?

Im trying to get a fireball to work like the potts ryu that doesnt spam. Looking at that code, it seems a little too detailed for me. Is there an easier way to keep from spamming other than a power add?

This is what was requested for me to do

My intention was to have them only work as the end to a combo, with you giving the enemy a chance to hit you for using it. Just like how in the games he fires, and then bam, your open for a hit. So the fireballs shouldnt beable to combo with themselfs.

Could this be done through the command?

In the cmd, add this to the projectile state:

triggerall = numproj = 0

This'll act like a limiter, for your character won't be able to throw out that particular projectile unless there are none that are the same type on the screen. Hope this helps.
