I might as well re-repost this...

So, why am I not going Hi-res?

1) Would play slower than usual at times. It would make recording Mugen videos more of a pain.
2) Chance it could mess up your computer. I'm not going to risk it.
3) Inability to use normal stages. I'm *not* going to get a second mugen, nor will I throw away my stages just for fewer, less pixelated ones.
4) Personal preference. A pixelated screen doesn't bother me. I can play old NES games I like and not want to rip out my eyes. I've had about as much fun with Halo as I did with Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Better Looking != Better.

Punctuation and capitalization can make the difference between "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse," and, "I helped my uncle jack off a horse."

92% of people have moved onto rap. If you're part of the 8% who thinks rap isn't music, sucks to be you.

Most newer stuff sucks, though.

I prefer lo-res for the amount of stages, and the fact that lo-res characters against a hi-res stage looks odd to me.

A hi-res character against a lo-res stage looks fine in my opinion.

I am however using the hi-res select screen hack (nice).

Now if they could come out with a hi-res title, select, and VS screen hack that would be great.

I would love to use everything in Hi-Res, If only my machine was a bit faster. It takes OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!! years to load a 500 characters roster. :(

It loads in about 30 seconds in my fathers Computer if not less.

Lo-Res for its stages. I like the Hi-Res select screen hack though... now I just need a Hi-Res select screen (I don't feel like making my current one compatible with it).

My Mugen stages, etc.

hi res stages+good music+hi res chars = nice mugen.  But sadly since a small amount of chars dont look good in hi res it is a tough balance.  I would say it all depends on the mugen game ur crafting...

I am toying with an idea to make a Melty Blood vs Guilty Gear vs Fist of the Northstar game that takes advantage of the hi res engines floating around....
