Would like to get one, but I think it will be awhile. Only downside I'm seeing so far is no DVD/Bluray playback. More notable game are Zombie U and Assassins Creed 3.

If you wanted something to play a DVD or BluRay, get a DVD or BluRay player

game disks hold up to 25gb?
those must be some expensive discs

1 or 2 generations ago (depending on if wiiu and wii are same gen) nintendo only used 1.4gb discs

MGS4 was 50GB Blurays are larger than these 25GB discs. But not having the BR brand is a nice $ saver.

Also, heres to hoping we get games like Metroid, F-zero, Star Fox, Wario World etc. on this system.

So we got our Wii U for Christmas but didn't get any of the extra games like MW3 or TT2, most of which can just be purchased and downloaded onto the console. I like the message board associated with each game, it's fun to talk spoilers and draw 8 bit art. I've been playing Nintendo Land with my 2 year old an 4 year old and I have to say, Nintendo has made a system even more intuitive than the original Wii. The multi players games are just great and the combined use of the Wii Remotes and the Wii Controller is very well implimented. I am compeltely impressed with my new system. Anyone else have it yet?

A friend of mine got the Black WiiU last weekend, with Nintendo Land and ZombiU. The pad is a great accessory to the gameplay, although it follows a similar concept to the DS Dual screen. In ZombiU particularly, the gamepad is incorporated into the game itself, acting as map, scanner and inventory.
So bottomline, i liked it a lot, and the black color is awesome

I almost returned it before Christmas in exchange for a PSV to play UMvC3 on the go, but in the end I didn't and I'm really happy because it's a great gateway into gaming for my childrens while I'm really enjoying it as well.

We got it for christmas and have been really enjoying Mario Brothers, Sonic racing, and luv playing Arkham city on the Wii U. I luv that my kid can play on the controller, and I can watch TV if shes gaming.

It is a great gateway for kids, and gaming. Got the Kinect bundle with kinectimals, and other games for my kid, and it just didnt keep her interest. X-Box is just more of Gen X-Gen-Y male gaming system predominately. Theres nothing wrong with that, but nintendo has a certain appeal that kids of all generations luv

Something I've been curious about: how does Wii U Arkham City fare compared to its PS360 version?
