Title: Megaman Stage: Metro City Subway 200X
Post by: Afterthought on June 23, 2012, 01:26:24 AM
So, a while back, I was tossing the idea around for a Megaman stage in a subway train. Why? I have no idea. I guess I figured it would be cool to see a bunch of Robot Masters watching some of their kind duke it out... on a train. I kinda wanted an urban feel to it.  :-??

So I went on a search for a bitmap of a train stage today, and I found one from the first Final Fight game. (Hence the name: Metro City Subway 200X; both games take place in a Metro City.) After some cheap edits, I made the train look more like the trains here in New York.

Then I had to put in the RMs. At first, I was gonna sprite them by hand. But after realizing how much work that would be, I almost died of a heart attack.  :DxDie

But seriously, I used resized sprites from the two Megaman: Power Battles/Fighters games. I resized them on MS Paint. Not a good idea. *Iceman ThumbsDown!*

So think of this as a beta... a very undeveloped beta. (No, it's not the stage, just the sprite I intended on using.) Once I get significant work done on Searchman, I might get back to this. Then again, if anyone wants to make their own, be my guest.

You should better do them with MvC style...

but obviously you need to give credit to the original spriters...

Like I said, I wanted to do the sprites myself. But then I realized how much work I had to do and I almost had an aneurysim. So yeah, I'll attempt it again in the future.
