Every year sine 2007 IMT has released a new version of the Marvel vs Capcom project except for 2011. That year brought us a 1.0 version of Project X as well as the release of Mugen 1.0 that would set the ground for the entire future of Mugen. These events, combined with the large group of HD releases and the Mega Man project all put the next release of EoH in a lower priority. Never-the-less in all that time there have been pieces moving in the background for the future of EoH. Although we are not ready to elaborate on the situation we have made a decision to offer an oppoertunity for anyone interested.
Any future version of any project released by IMT will undoubtedly be on the Mugen 1.0 engine. With this in mind we're looking to consider revisions to the current EoH screen pack. I uploaded some psd files if anyone is interested in taking a crack at some of the elements. Particularly the select screen and the life bars. With the Select screen we would like to see a design that doesn't change the 9000,0 portrait but changes to the 9000,1 portraits are quite alright. Same with the lifebars, we would like to retain the shape of portraits.
If anyone is interested in giving this a try feel free to do so. Anything is possible, we are only limited by the imagination.

I say the 1st healthbars (showing the character's upper body instead of just his head) are great. I kinda wish you could mix the two for two char teams (something akin to how CFAS is doing it) but it still looks nice

Same here. I bet they'll look good when you put this screenpack on Mugen 1.0.

At this point in time we're not adding victory portraits to any of the previously released game projects. In the case of EoH there are over 100 characters that we'd have to make win quotes and portraits for.

If I may ask , just what progress has been made on EoH recently besides the screenpack? The last I heard of it was... so long I can't remember, honestly, so it'd be nice to hear what's going on with it.

I'm sure they have stuff done. You have to keep in mind MUGEN is a hobby.

Last it was publically updated was 2010. Following that a lot of attention was put into Project X so there hasn't been a public release since. At this point in time we are not available to announce anything specific.

Don't feel like you have to update every second. Like I said MUGEN is a hobby, you shouldn't let it dictate your life.

I have an idea for the select screen. Ill make a concept image soon, but before I do that, I need to know how flexible you are with change. This idea will force you to remake 9000,1 portraits for everyone.

I'm always open for suggestions but it would have to be good enough to motivate me to remake over 100 custom portaits and add them to all of the roster.

Maybe you could do the ones from the current version of Eoh.
