Known fact that the mp3 format for the HIres Mugen software does cause a reaction.Like the logo for the sound will runs but cancel the sound for the mugen Intros. Or when the Mugen Intro plays the mp3 sound but cancel the Mugen title mp3 sound. same goes for the the select screen mp3 sound, select mp3 sound cancel the Vs screen mp3 sound & cancel the stages as well by hearing sound by a click or skipping sound by causing the Mugen to shut down.

There for changing the format will run & play perfectly sounds for the Ogg format for your Mugen.

Here a example for the result of MP3 VS OGG FORMAT by using Mugen Jet's Screen-Pack both come with Mp3 & Ogg Format.You can see how  they both of them react in own way

MUGEN 1.0 fixes all those problems, and plus OGG still crashes Winmugen.

yeah i was kinda against switching to 1.0( alot of bad information about char compatability n such),but i caved the other day & switched over & i gotta say, im likeing it alot,ive only found maybe 13 or 14 chars that didnt work, and most of those were like Kaiju chars, like 1 Sam showdown, 1 streetfighter char and a couple of SNK chars  i can actually have stages with sound now lol, i had to delete all my sound on my other mugen to make it work right, so anyone out there i was a major sceptict about it but 1.0  is the way  to go  :)

 :) TY for the comment guys but you have to understand that mugen fans are still using old ver. winmugen low & high res. its gonna take sometime for them get to use the new ver 1.0 also .ogg format run way better than mp3 dont u think  ;*))

You can use ADX on winmugen. It won't crash.
