Title: Heroman
Post by: Vitamin on May 23, 2010, 09:23:35 PM
Here's an awesome Anime I just recently started to watch, and I just had to post this because Stan Lee makes an epic apperance in it.

Heroman is a manga and anime produced by Bones and created by Marvel Comics' Stan Lee. Published in Monthly Shōnen Gangan beginning in September 2009, the anime premiered on April 1, 2010, on TV Tokyo and related stations. Stan Lee came up with the series' basic plot, referring to the series and character as "a new hero for the 21st century".
Broadcast of Heroman in the United States is currently being planned by Lee and producer Masahiko Minami.

Stan Lee is everywhere!  ;D

Can you tell me what part of the anime does Stan Lee appear in so I can skip to it?  I cannot really stand animes and after that intro, I couldn't watch anymore.

That's strange, I didn't see him and I watched the whole intro.

I found him at "3:41".  After the space scene and robot stuff so alittle ways after intro.

Wow, it's amazing what a little alien lightning can do to a broken toy.

>rip off
>Stan Lee

Suddenly it all makes sense. Bones didn't work with Stan Lee, they just made all that up. Those Stan Lee videos on the Heroman website? It's really Larry King.

What I found interesting (though the anime itself looks interesting enough for me to watch it) what I found interesting is that the whole thing is in Japanese, yet EVERYTHING about it was American...didn't watch the whole thing so not sure they mention what the actual location is, but let's see...

Names: Prof. Matthew Denton & Joey Jones (as far as I was able to watch with the time I had to watch it...)

Text: from the commercial to the names of the businesses on the block where Joey runs from to go to school, it was all in English...in fact it looks like maybe a rural city in New York...I dunno just kinda odd and interesting to me *shrugs*

Edit: Yup, American as there is a US flag at his middle school. Well, I'll leave it at that...I guess this will make it easy to bring to the US, no?
