sorry for bumping but here is how to use it

first you add a song that seems to be a bit quiet
then press add files make sure you keep seperate copys of them cuase you might lose the song  now go to  the target normal volume and increase it to 100 it is stronlgy recommended it to be at a 100 if it sounds a bit loud and scratchy dont worry just reduce it til you got it right and then you are good to go with your favorite and "loud" song

better solution - take your favorite music to Windows Movie Maker, increase the volume, save as WMA, convert to MP3 with iTunes.

Can you show us how? It's not as easy as it looks for those who aren't familiar with Windows Movie Maker.

I use a converter program that lets me convert into various file, then I turn them into wav files, then I use windows sound recorder to increase or decrease the volume, then i convert back to mp3
