I don't see why they had to reintroduce him, tbh. They're saying this is to make sure he's canon to Super, but I thought he already was, with Super being connected to Z?... Idk. Either way, Broly's awesome. Can't wait for the movie to release. Is this the one they were teasing? Is Broly the first SSJ in Super's history, or is it someone else, and that's a separate film?

The Z movies and Tv Series are considered different universes. Broly was only cannon to one of those dead universes.
Akira Toriyama wasn't involved in the movies, but saw how much fans were into Broly so he did his own redesign and reworking of his story to make him fit with the new super cannon. This is now the main Broly.

Agreed, but its a shame to just toss is away. They wrote themselves into a corner.

It was heavily flawed, but enjoyable.

Not sure how one would need him to "fit" anything. 'Streamline'  oh hellz yeah, he needs that, the 'Kakaroto made me cry when I was a baby, so he must die' needs/needed to go.

Here's the core.

Broly is a Legend, he is everything they don't want to become, his power has made him insane. All he wants is death and destruction. Every fight with him is uphill, because he just gets stronger. He doesn't just want fight/win, he wants to make you suffer before he kills you, laughing all the way.

I just hope they play it smarter than before....Because...... Bio-Broly was $hit.

Me neither. Since SUPER series, Goku is way more powerful now, which won't make Broly a hard opponent.
