well I just have a few things to say when I 1st watch this trailer I have some serious thoughts
about it so far theres a side of me says its good and theres another side of me says its gonna flop 

but one things for sure im really going to see this movie when it drops (Or RedBox It If You Guys Call It !)

A lot of people are saying the same thing, and it's basically that they missed their target audience. They're trying to go for the newbies and all them, when it's really the hardcore fans that wanted a sequel, and from the trailer so far... Nothing is like the old Ghostbusters movies.

I mean I, myself, really wanted to see an upgrade to the Muron Trap/Ghost Trap... and if that laser bear trap is it... No.

it really feels like a reboot for the sake of reboot, I like that they are girls, but do they have to look exactly like the original cast
but just girls, also not liking the glocks, are they really trying to update the audience to old school science of ghost busters technology, and then ruin it by adding Glocks, COZ GLOCKZ R COOL YALL!!!!!

The movie is getting a lot of hate for no good reason. For the people who are die hard fans of the series yea I get it but most people are just hating it to be part of the bandwagon.

I'm a fan of the original and to be honest the trailer doesn't look that bad and is way better than I thought it would be, yes it has tons of stuff I don't like and wish was done differently but from what I've seen it just a by the numbers reboot(not sure if it is).

Nostalgia is always going to put blinders on people(I know cause I've been there) but this time a lot of it is unwarranted based off one trailer

I think reboot was a bad way to go after seeing the trailer. If it was a continuation it would have a much easier way of fitting into the newer audience at the same time catering to the die hard fans. There is nothing here to attach to other than slimmer and to be completely honest a reboot is suppose to do it bigger and better. You had Bill Murray, Herald Ramis, Dam Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson. Your move new ghostbusters.....

I heard they passed a law where anyone who doesn't have a seething-ly negative reaction to the trailer must be shot on sight. And we should have no opposition to this elimination of free speech because the reboot is just that horrible, am I right?!

Don't get me wrong, movie is not that bad, it'll be fun and all(probably, maybe), just it shouldn't be named "GhostBusters 3". Perfect GB3 for me - some spin on Extreme GB, where Egon and Janine are teaching the ropes of ghostbusting to new generation. And if it was Eduardo, Kylie, Roland and Garrett it would be great, even better with some action of old team(like in Extreme). Sadly old team now isn't with us...   This movie... it's partial ripoff off GB1 with all female staff and so far non-funny jokes having no connections to old movies except "30 years ago..." in trailer. Can't call it sequel, it's something following theme and that's that.
Heh, if you remember, there was episode in The Real GB cartoon where team watched movie version GB and Peter said they made it not properly(misrepresenting him, iirc), gladly they didn't saw this one.

I read the very same thing. That, and most of the cast wont talk about the movie now either. This is Sony showing their true colors.
