More like characters from the first game, like Retsu and Geki. Would also like to see Sodom, Karin, Alex and Sean.

Skullo is out of question because Arika. Couldn't care less for Mika.

Depends on what types of characters are left to fill the roster. Birdie could count as one of the grappling characters. SF usually has a couple of those. It would be cool to see chars from SF1 return. They would practically be like new characters, because many people don't remember them and they could really modify their gameplay.
Interested to see if any SF3 chars return. Lately they've had more attention than before. There's some good ones from that era. I doubt we'll see Alex return. Capcom must think he's poison, seeing as SF3 originally didn't do too well. Then again, that's when arcades started to die out. Alex would make for a really neat second grappling character though. Something different from the tradition Zangeif.

Some nice matches here..I LOVED the Nash VS Chun Li..I really exposed what they can do..man I hope they don't change much to this game....I like what im seeing...

For me SF4 was just the hype of it returning and having it been so long to get to "4". But the gameplay of this new edition is what has my attention the most....
the combat system looks damn interesting and it makes me wonder how the rest of the characters combat system will be with their V triggers. So I really hope they don't change much at all on the system but mainly focus on real bugs n such. That's just me....

Dude, that Brazil stage is BEAUTIFUL!!!
I really hope this means Sean is coming back! It looks like it suits him better than Blanka. I feel like the excessive Blanka imagery in that video is a red herring. Though I'd take Blanka over the other weird characters, like Twelve or Hakan, any day.

Where'd you find that pic of New Zealand?... Is there a SF char from there yet??? Maybe it's for a new character!

Well, Ono loves Blanka, so that's expected. Thankfully the Brazilian stage is not on a jungle again.

saw it on twitter. Not sure what character would be using that stage but hopefully it is for an entirely new character

Whooa!!! Not sure what to think of the new costume design. I'm looking at it from my phone, I'll need to see it in HD. His char model may be a work in progress anyway. I'm inwardly hoping he'll have his classic look as dlc or something down the road. But I'm getting what I want though, actual change and story progression in a sequel.
Ken certainly is looking very fiery! Just as I'd expect. Looks like his v-trigger is reworked super arts from third strike.

...Oh great another weird character. Light purple skin, green eyes and dreadlocks? Hmmm....

I personally would have liked it to be half and half. Half returning, half new. But seeing how they're changing the returning characters quite a bit, it feels almost like new characters!

Wow i cant wait for this game!! Sf fan since day 1 game came out and played all lf them and lookin forward to this one with all these new avenues their doin which might just work out.
People complaining about roster size, dont. Its a decent size to get the feel of the game and thats enuff to work with to learn the system and find a good character or more you will like.
Complaints about the fight money to earn content....stop right there! Long ago that WAS how you earned content. Beat the game and earn the unlockables. The way their doin this makes good sense for us older gamers cause we love unlockin content rather than havin to dish out money all the time just to get stuff. Now i wont mind if its somethin i like and want right then but if i dont got the cash i wont mind grinding it out. Keeps me playin and thats good for me. It must be a day in age thing cause this generation wants everything right there and then and not gotta work for it. With this business model you can go either route.

I want new characters as this is a new ground for the game and also its based after sf3 era. Bring back some cool characters and age them a bit to fit the timeline as well give the option of having more than one super at play start or incorporated in the characters to do more than one dang super period. 2 supers flatout and not have to sf3 select them style is awesome so hope its implemented. Capcom your makin me ready and destined to purchase a ps4.....keel it up and show me the goods!

I like the roster size. I wouldn't mind had it been 14 or 12. For some reason 12 stands out to me as the perfect roster number. At least for a new game. If they want to build on it, cool. If not, that's cool. If it's a well balanced roster of cool characters, that's all that matters. Quality over quantity.

Not sure what to make of Necalli. I don't prefer characters who physical attributes or appearance one can't explain or understand right away. Just like that Hakan dude. He looked really weird and there was no explanation for his appearance! But this appears to be very reminiscent of Gill and SF3. Maybe Necalli's linked to that. I hope this is set after SF3, which it appears it is.

I just wish the new characters were normal humans from countries who's fighting style hasn't been showcased in the franchise yet.

I keep watchin the necalli trailer and i find myself liking him more and more. Mixed bag of akuma, blanka, and some gill in there i think. Wwild beastial dude who is really a full on mixed bag of abilities. In the right hand he could be a huge punisher. Looks like he has 2 modes...one whi h could be a timer mode of sorts and has access to new moves and better versions of those regulars. Plus.....are those 2 supers i see ? If so and all characters have 2 supers a matchup......awesomeness. cant wait to see who the other 3 new people are and who else is returning. No real hints yet other than fan predictions but i am glued to see who actually does come in........still got my eyes out for an older R.mika and makoto. Hehehehehe
