Thanks for all the support and feedback guys. I appreciate it.
I'm going to work on the get hits first. That will take me like a month, or maybe a really dedicated weekend to spriting. We'll see lol

Still undecided on whether to use trident always or not. In New 52, he is never without it. At the very least it should be behind his back or something. What do you guys think. I think I will include a couple kicks in there, to add variety.

Looks cool and it will be even cooler once you make the armor look like it has scales (you still plan on doing this yes?). As for the trident maybe use it for specials and hypers and ....a launcher or a kind of move that is a pushback or something?

I plan on adding the scales to his armor. At first I thought I would leave it as is, so he could have a shirtless palette, but I rather not sacrifice detail for a smart palette. The blue hand is enough of a smart palette for me. :P

Yup, I agree most people here. Go on with the scales armor, surely it will look better. And for the spidey legs, I don't see aquaman jumping like spidey, didn't fit well with his fight style, I think.  :-" Of course, it's just my opinion. Anyways, good job until now Twinimage ;) Keep working good!

I'm working on get hits this weekend and probably will next weekend too.

Anyone have any idea how I could implement the scale armor look on his torso? I want it to look similar to this: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c395/GonnaBurnInMyLight/JLABoR.gif
I was thinking maybe I could create a Photoshop brush and apply the brush to each color on the torso at a time.

My attempt. I know it's not the best. You just have to think more about pixel placement.

@Snakebyte: I plan to add Mera in an intro/win pose and maybe include her in a hyper. Not sure about "the others".

On a different note: I've been looking through images of Aquaman and just noticed that he has blonde hair and black eyebrows?? So is that an Atlantean trait or does he dye/bleach his hair? O_O lol
He must be a Street Fighter Ken fan. lol

I'm going all "Silence of the Lambs" on several different heads, like Cable and Cyclops.Taking different pieces and putting them together. Cable has good hair though.

Been resizing the legs and considering other bases that would be a quick edit. It's annoying because all I really need is the bottom half of legs. The thighs are from the same base as the torso is from.

It was. lol You just have to make a grid thingy with the shading. Pretty simple, but takes a while.

Get hits are almost done! :D They went faster than I thought.
Still working on the legs. For some reason, I always have trouble with legs when frankenspriting. :(
Still need to sprite when he hits the ground and gets back up. Still need to add the belt. Not looking forward to that.

Tried adding the scale armor after getting three different tutorials for it.
It turned out perfect and quick! It's something I can add at the end after I've finished a batch of sprites.
