I'm kinda surprised that no one has planned to make Loki for Mugen. We could use a good villain for Loganir's Thor.

Here's the moveset I came up with for the God of Mischeif

Alright I just came up with a rough moveset. Here's what I got

:bp - Dark Spheres - Loki shoots out hand sized spheres of black magic. He can angle downwards (light), upwards (medium), or forward (heavy). He can shoot up to three spheres when you press the punch button again

:bp - Wicked Grav - think Magento's Hyper Grav but with snake illusions

:bp - Chilling Death - Loki pushes his hands forward and an ice like explosion comes out

:bp - Groundbreaking Halt - Loki summons a demonic pitchfork and slams it on the ground, tripping any grounded opponents

:bk - Feral Lunge - Loki transforms into a wolf and attacks the opponent

:bp :bp - Flames of Hate - Loki summons a giant wave of black fire to engulf the stage

:bp :bp - Massive Confusion - He summons illusions of himself to bombard the enemy

:bk :bk - Flight - Pretty self explanitory

:bp :bk - Frost Giant Army - Loki summons a legion of Frost Giants to come forth and attack the opponent

Transformation Intros:
Loki in a civilian disguise
Female Loki
Scarlet Witch
Devil Hulk (vs Hulk)
Zombie like Peggy (vs Cap)

Well, after watching Thor - tales of Asgard and movie(which I didn't liked, especially Loki there, he looked pathetic) I could suggest some moves.
Illusion - like ninja move where instead of ninja log appears and ninja himself appear somewhere behind on safe distance, but here instead of log vanishing image of Loki himself.
Water snake projectile, maybe controled like Kung-Lao's hat.
Freezing touch - maybe instead of trow he could've freeze opponent like Sub-zero, but without projectile.
Shape-shifting to his opponent and use his moves.
Teleportation.
Some dark enrgy blast/fireballs could also be there.
Maybe there should be hyper move where he controlling enemy like puppet making him hurt himself or one when he separates his head and burning terrified opponent.

Well Loki CAN shapeshift but he can't use the powers of whoever he's impersonating (ie he can't use Cyclops' Optic Blast if he's posing as Cyclops).

Also, maybe he can have a Lvl 3 Hyper Combo where he summons Frost Giants? He IS part Frost Giant

I know, but if he can't use specials of opponent after shapeshifting - only purpose of it would be confusing opponent and will work only with human opponent. Then it's a bad move on itself...or no? While not using specials probably player can take advantages of regular attacks, hm... Well he also could make multiple images of himself, that could be used for move "guess which is real" and some moves like Reisen from touhou 12.3 like when she splits in two one standing on ground, second - flying with same bullet attack, if you press B real is one on the ground if C - flying or when she splits in multiple copies around opponent in air and you choose with direction which one is real, then real one is kicking opponent(that touhou game have so many cool moves, I'm just loving 12.3).

Maybe an intro/outro where he does his enemy's intro/outro instead?

He could do that, although if he does have a shapeshift intro, it BETTER have female Loki as a choice

I meant that for example when he fought Beast he may do Beast's intro of sitting on a pile of books and once he finishes, he turns back into Loki. But if he fought, say Thor, he would instead do Thor's intro. That should be possible right? Mystique and Morph both turn into their opponents for attacks.

Then he could have his own set of intros too, of course.

Yeah, I just said Thor thinking of another character. Definitely some kind of story type intro for Thor.

always want to see loki in mugen too!!
but would be a challenge for the creator to reach the quality of sprites and gameplay of loganir Thor

his primary weapon in comics is his tongue, but in mugen we can stay with
- shapeshift - a lot of times in fight he use to become animals (minisserie Loki 04 of 04)
- create or manipulate fire - diferent from the frost giant loki powers is fire not ice (Thor 603) but rarely seen using this in comics
- multiplicate - as a trick/ilusion to confuse the oponente, only real loki do/take damage (Thor Movie)
- frost giant or destroyer armor - maybe a hyper similar to onslaught, the one that he call someone to fight for him

as intro: he can change from Female Loki/Young Loki/Scarlet Witch

enchantess is being worked on already, besides frost giants, might be plenty enough to work with, movesets sound great, what about the base? sprite wise, i had made a spritesheet of iceman, for the purpose of a coupke of wips, loki being one of them, magneto cape?

lean? gambit might be better choice, obviously changing the stance, remy is good too. but his clothes ruin the use of him, top half remy, bottom half lebeau?

Radel from rage of the dragons. but he'd need to up scaled a little.

Or maybe iceman, but same deal as radel, or Spiderman, but you'd need to thin the legs.

Gambit has that coat which, trust me, it a PAIN IN THE butt to edit.

i found two sprites of Loki in the internet with diferent costumes

the first is from l@nce uppercut, torso is urien and legs probably cap.america

the second is from taskmaster and is very well done, i don't know if have any bases or is from scrath

I love Taskmaster's stuff but Lance's sprite seems to fit more. I think the face could be changed a bit, maybe thin the nose a bit and make him less tan.

Dunno, in mugen think Daredevil, Invisible Woman and Doc Oct trumps Loki as far as important "must be made" chars.

Still, I think he's important. We do technically have versions of the above...
Doc Ock- 2 poorly sprited ones.
Sue Richards- A few alphas and an invisible punching bag.
Daredevil- Some poorly made edits.

i know taskmaster is a very good scratch spriter so his loki woudnt surprise me if was mixed bases with great scratchwork added in.

yeah we do have those other characters in mugen but they could be updated

more. Cvg's Daredevil looks indeed promising

there is room for all characters from marvel , dc, any comics, any game , anime, movies to original characters. its comes down to sprite style, gameplay style fun factor and peoples personal choices of which versions to have.

i love both those Loki sprites and would take both too. it boils down to how the creator makes it ,how well made in the creators skill and visionhe is and most of all... how fun that loki is to play with.

Loki is a great addition to having new mugen characters to play with. to go against the thor we have in looks...i go with l@nce uppercut sprite and create a thor to go with Taskmasters version. both are great.
