IM BACK...So How Do I...
« on: July 19, 2011, 07:30:01 PM »
code an attack to be only done from far away, iv played around with "p2bodydist" and it still doesnt work.  Heres my Code

[State -1, (X)F + Medium Punch]
type = ChangeState
value = 212
triggerall = command = "holdfwd" && command = "y"
triggerall = statetype != A
trigger1 = (StateType = S) && (Ctrl)
trigger2 = time > 1

A guy told me one time, "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."

Try using

triggerall = p2bodydist >###

The triggerall is a condition that you have to achieve to attempt the attack

Quote
triggerall = statetype != A
trigger1 = (StateType = S)

quite unnecessary. If you already said that the Stateype can't be A, you don't need to use the Statetype = S, unless you wanna make it position specific, like done only when you crouch.

And you should move the CTRL trigger to the triggerall, on the first line. Because Ctrl is the key on this move, if you have no control, you don't need to make mugen to read all the other triggers.

and, about your question, is p2bodydist. http://elecbyte.com/mugendocs/trigger.html#p2bodydist

Thanks Guys.  My Head isnt the same since my problem but it works now, this is my new code

[State -1, Y - F + Medium Punch(X)]
type = ChangeState
value = 212
triggerall = p2bodydist x > 60
triggerall = command = "holdfwd" && command = "y"
triggerall = Ctrl ;i think this made a difference
trigger1 = StateType = S

If theres anything wrong(or unnecessary) just say

Quote
trigger1 = (StateType = S) && (Ctrl)

That was there by default, using the template
