Don't worry, Russian Gestapo! I'm sure we all understand! I know that the Hayato as a sprite baisis is a difficuly one, I too have been working months on DekaMaster and it's coming along slowly as well (I'm just finishing the first basic sword anim, and I've been working on him for about six months

)

In short, take your time, as Jack will be worth waiting for. Everyone has real life has priorities that come first before Mugen. Remember, as a creator, creating is also a hobby. When it takes precendence over our real life activities (jobs, schooling) then we know we've let it take a little too much priority.

Good luck with your schooling, and work on Jack when you most feel like it and when you feel you have the time! He'll be better in the long run for it.

Yea, don't worry, man. Mugen is an amazing thing, but it's only a hobby. I know how real life can get, so just come back to it whenever you know you'll have the time. 'Til then, hope everything goes well.

) so handle your business and keep a backup of all your work. Hell, I've been working on my wip for some time myself now so I know where you're coming from.

Been getting requests from YouTube peeps for a copy of Jack. He isn't finished, hasn't got any moves, and I still intend to come back to him at Summer. In the meantime, here's a download link for a version that I wouldn't even consider a beta (seriously, this is all I have done thus far).

Stunningly observant criticisms such as "why hasn't he got any moves" or "OMG he sux" will be subject to sarcastic replies. I'm not expecting any of that sort of thing on this forum (because Infinity is where all the classy people hang out), but then there's always one, isn't there? XD

Code critique will be most welcome, but I'll need you to spell out to me problems in very big words and diagrams as I am a moron on such matters.

And if it turns out I should have posted this link in another section of the forum, then b*llocks, my bad!

I'm just curious as to why he has no moves.. because he did have some before you left.. Unless you got your pc rebooted or something and forgot to save certain sprites and/or certain parts of the char's in-game files.... idk.. I hope to see more soon.

P.S. If you mean no moves like super moves.. then.. forget about the above paragraph.. I thought you were talking about his basic moves....

Hi there.

Been an awful long time, hasn't it?

I received a PM recently asking as to where Jack is. I didn't have the heart to lie - Jack isn't coming. I felt that everyone deserved to know.

I currently lack the know-how to make a MUGEN character. Combined with several other commitments, Jack has not received any attention from me in a long while. I haven't deleted him - I still possess his alpha form, possibly out of some hope of one day returning and offering a near-completed Jack Sparrow to everyone, but please don't place bets on his completion. If you'd like a copy of his alpha form, please do PM me.

I'm only posting because I too have experienced the gutting sensation of seeing a WIP character suddenly disappear. The notion of joining those who have faded into obscurity in terms of MUGEN WIP creation honestly disgusted me, and yet here I am accepting it. I can at least offer closure as to this WIP.

Mods, you may now lock this topic as appropriate.
