Another thanks shout out @: malisiousjoe, Sync The Tempest, Optimus Prime, Akeme and Mustkillroy. Thanks!

@malisiousjoe: I probably won't reply to everyone individually in the future, but I've got five minutes and figured what the hell?  :-?? I now have a near-definitive list of what I'll be adding to Jack moves-wise now, featuring some of the good ideas from the old forum. At some point I'll add the list to my first post, but right now it's sketchy and most of the ideas are still in my head.

@Optimus Prime: I think the rum bottle projectile was always a certainty anyway, even if you hadn't suggested it. ;)

@Akeme: Don't worry about Will's stance too much, the gifs are just for me to get an idea how to sprite him (that's why there are some sprites of Jack standing like Hayato, too). Besides, with what I have planned for his striker move he'll need a different stance.

Right, here's a new quickie vid:

In other news, time's crept up on me and next week I'm attending the welcoming week of the university I'll be attending full-time in October. Needless to say, when October rolls around I'll probably be inundated with study and work (but let's hope not, eh? ;) ). Thus, I can't guarantee my next update will be any time soon. Who knows? Maybe a course in Web Design might actually help my MUGEN coding (doubt it though).  ;*))

Basically, if this topic lies dormant over an extended period, fear not, for I am determined to get Jack Sparrow into MUGEN. That doesn't give you an excuse to bump this topic like hell though (that annoys people).

Peace out, and once again thanks for the support. :)

Funny that people should start asking XD. I've just managed to get back to doing a little more on him, and now he can jump (in all directions + the standard double jump). All that remains is the air block and the horrible number of "get hit" animations and then we can look at releasing a punch bag beta.

Saying that, over the last couple of weeks I've been lucky if I can sprite one or two sprites a week, so don't hold out on that beta any time soon. Have no fear though, I am still working on him, and I'll update with a vid as soon as I have something really worth showing. :)

You'll still see me posting around the forum, though. I can always find five minutes to browse Infinity.

P.S. Funny thing is, TGM is using Hayato Kanzaki as a base for his awesome Dekamaster character, and I suspect that he'll soon overtake me on progress despite the fact that I've been working on Jack for about six months now (to be fair two of those months were just me making those horrible old sprites that you see in the first post).

EDIT: Sod it, have some pics of him jumping. XD
