u know sum'n that dawned on me just now if u read the wat they creator of this series said about they fight in the beganing, it being a friendly sparing match and that y Rikku gave back the blade in ep 1 because of that so then .  . .  . . . .wat happened? Tifa is about to die

But the ninja fight had me going "what is this series becoming?"

Monty Oum doesn't fail to amaze me! His work & presentation keeps getting better & better! All of these are great except for the the "L" Tifa takes throughout III and V. Really, with alll the materia she had she should've been invincible against Hitomi...or at least not get her stuff taken like that.

well remember that Gaiden is part of DOA and that seen was inspired by kill bill, N Gaiden as well as others.

all tho i dont like the whole cut u to pieces theme i do enjoy it cuz it still has a reality bases.  Swonds can cut u in half in life. IDK is kantanas can do that, i mean there spare enough but there known to brake easly.

well i can wait for the release of these. IDK then that is he hasnt posted any thing since releasing the trailer but checked erthing but his deviant art page. He does do sumthings there for DF too.

What? Unless I missed something I'd consider a cameo and series relations different things.

Regardless, the ninja scene could have been handled differently. But I doubt there's gonna be changes to it.

Yeah. Tifa teamed up with a gang to defeat a guy who had the power to destroy a planet, you'd think she'd be able to handle a few common ninjas. For the whole ninja thing they should have used Yuffie, but whatever. I also didn't like how Cloud came to save Yuna instead of Tifa. I mean wtf. Well if he's going for Tifa he better have brought some Phoenix downs and megalixers.

I don't understand the complaints here. It turning into Dead Fantasy Ninja Gaiden.....uh the DOA series and Ninja Gaiden series are connected and are apart of the same world. That is the reason why she is fighting ninjas. Monty is adding a actual story. In order IMO to do this, you have to introduce male characters hence why IMO he had to break the no male rule. You also notice for the first time ever, dialog. The series started one way, chicks just fighting and kicking eachother butts (god I sound like a children's cartoon) now to chicks fighting and kicking each others' butts but, with a STORY. Expect to see more FF elements soon.

Tifa....there is a reason why she was defeated the way she was....she had no materia, she was beaten down by Hitomi powered up by materia hence she was injured as is and could be taken down like that. He is creating drama, why is Cloud there, why is he was Yuna is, etc. When does the hero in any story find the thing he wants so easily? That isn't a fun story if his search was 30 mins. Remember this, who isn't to say that Yuna's fight didn't happen before Tifa's and Cloud showing up wasn't before Tifa was attack? Maybe in 5 you see Cloud and Yuna show up after Hayate left and he heals her.

Try not to look at it as "Tifa did this in FF" "Yuna did that in FF" and stuff like that. If you go by power lvls alone.....FF would KILL DOA. Seriously the people in FF take down world destroying people and monsters....DOA......they take on just people on their level. Monty has to seriously nerf the FF group to make this match even. The only thing was that Tifa did have of Materia, understand if she had 2, 3 or even 4, but not as many as she had. It is tricky in general to handle magic cause the FF gang could easily abuse it, especially Tifa. Cause if Tifa could with the amount of Materia she had, take on the DOA girls on her own. I can however over look this cause I don't expect a super complicated story and I look at it as just a series that you watch for the fighting.

Take the series for what it is, a fun fighting fan fest, but now with some kind of story. IMO Cloud not saving Tifa...too convenient, doesn't make sense story wise right now. There NEEDS to be build up for when they meet. He saves Yuna cause he is on a search for Tifa and probably knows Yuna and Tifa teamed up. Also during this search Yuna just happens to be there. If Cloud came in and saved Tifa, it ruins the build up and there is less story/fight time. There is also a prelude to a build up for a fight between Cloud and Hayate and that is the other reason why Monty didn't have him save Tifa right there and then. I know I will find out at AX what will happen since I am going to AX (the premiers for 3,4 and 5) so I can't wait.
