Update: 8-12-2008: Version 2.0 release
Stage got a minor facelift, to make it look more sleek. To compensate
for the lack of water on the bottom of the stage, I decided to make two
versions of this stage, into  two separate DEF files. A version with Rain, and
a version without Rain. Just load the respective DEF file, for whichever you
want, they will use the same SFF file regardless, without altering it. The
city background from the old one, is no longer being used, and the issue I had
with the original image is also resolved. And, it is now being used. As stated,
the addition of rain, will compensate for lack of an ocean. Addition of a trash
can is also visible. To further note, there is a minor correction to the far right of the
stage. Where it looked "separated" from the rest of the stage. A minor problem, but still
a problem that has now been resolved.

What's left?: Some Clouds, and acomplete Overhaul, once Streets of Rage Remake
version 5.0 is released. When that is released, and Moon Beach is updated on that,
This stage will move to Version 3.0.

Enjoy

Your stage looks fun, I'm going to try it out for sure.

I love that you make your stuff open source, that's a great attitude to have, and I commend u for it!

I also just finish checking out your page and like your tutorials for people who want to start prepping their chars sprites. I think they're very helpful for beginners, and for people in general who want to get into the character creation aspect of mugen. Congrats on all of that!  ^^(PM)^

btw, anyone know whose lifebars are those in dark valentine's screen shot? and where can I find them? @-)  :P

That would be the Notorious Brand Lifebars. They were created by DABA.

However DABA's site seems to be down at the current moment.

And thanks for checking out the stage & the tutorials section of my stages site. If you take a look at the link below, you'll see the next tutorial, which will be added onto my stages site, real soon.

Stage Alignment/Axis Correction tutorial - For Beginners

IMO, the way I like to do tutorials, is instead of going with the good, but difficult parts of what M.U.G.E.N can do, I go for what ppl try to understand first, when they are in the process of creating something. This way, one can make a stage, pretty much guilt free. And, without have to ask many questions.

No, thank you for taking the time to create a tutorial for all the n00bs in the community. I myself learned to make stages reading a tutorial similar to yours a while ago to the point that I've been thinking about making one myself, just not right now :P.

Anyway, it is always nice to see more and more people getting into the creation aspect of mugen in my opinion, (even if some of the craft been made is less than praiseworthy, lol), because I consider that the more time people pass making stuff the least they do "leeching", and your tutorials (along with other people's) constitute an invaluable tool to do just that because they're nicely written and simple to understand for what I can see.

So congrats again and good luck on your future projects mane!

thanks for the info on the lifebars 2!
