I can't really speak on everyone else behalf as to why MugenTV has become the lastest uproar in the community, but from speaking with MugenLord on topic about MugenTv, he's single handedly pioneering the Mugen Revolution. Before this, again strict opinion, Mugen communities tend to segregated against one another, and depending on your affiliation, you become limited to what your community has to offer. It's one of the things that I love about being a part of Infinity, there's are NO walls; no restrictions - the way Mugen was meant to be played.

IDK, i speak again for myself and my shortcomming which brought me here today.

Anyways back on topic, Mugenlord placed a statement in his YouTube Community in reguards to the next installment of MugenTV. I felt like sharing for anyone who wasn't aware that shares the same interest in the program as I do:

Quote from: MugenLord Via YouTube.com
MugenLord: Sorry guys been gone awhile, I have been working double shift at work for the past 2 weeks so the show was slow down a bit but it will be ready May 12th its better to have a waited show for it to be perfect then to have a rush show with a sloppy product.

So stay tuned and sorry again.

Thats good to know.. Now the world can sleep easy..

my own personal explanation of the pronounciation is a bit silly, but it works for me.

mugen from samurai champloo is pronounced "moo gen" in the english dub.

Its surprising that the community grew to such proportions in only a few years.

My friend from Japan makes me say "Igirisu" for English when we speak in Japanese.  Tenspeed is right, it's pronounced "moo gen".

It's funny cause my Japanese professor made us moo like a cow for the mu sound and that the hiragana symbol for mu is suppose to be a cow.  Strange...  Surprisely Japanese was much easier for me than French...and Ukranian.

In my opinion, Japanese is one of the easiest languages to learn because there are so few exceptions to the rules. It's reading ad writing Japanese that causes problems for most.

I can read and write better than I speak, though I like to use hiragana more than kanji.  All of my friends also prefer hiragana, since it's faster.

/:O Er, the hiragana for mu does not represent a cow in Japanese, especially since the writing system of hiragana came way later after kanji was dominently used in Japan. If you mean katakana, then mu is used in conjuntion with the kanji for cow to make certain words, but the hiragana "mu" is different....

Another thing (I should've said this earlier when I 1st saw your post but  :-??), but the word "Igirisu" does not mean "English" in terms of the language spoken. Igirisu refers to Britain or England, and if you refer to the English that is spoken there, it would be Igirisu Eigo (British English). Loosely labeling English as "Igirisu" is incorrect, for American English is different than British English. I should know, for my parents grew up with British English, and taught me and my siblings that along with American English.

That is weird because my professor is also from Japan and has explained that certain hiragana characters sometimes represent sounds.  Mu is a symbol for when looking at it most people think of cow.  I never said that mu means cow, the character was created to look like a cow.  I don't know why this needed to be quoted.

Also I was talking about when saying the country when I mentioned Igirisu.  I didn't want to say English people.

Misinformation is never a good thing, especially when 3rd parties read it without any knowledge of the contents and take it as fact. Guess we should just focus on Mugen TV  :-??

Also I was talking about when saying the country when I mentioned Igirisu.  I didn't want to say English people.
Guess it was the way you said it  :-?? . My mistake.

By the way, I'm still new to mugen, is the Mugen TV episodes suppose to show off new characters or are they just to display matches?  Thanks.
Sorta. It's supposed to be everything related to mugen, from news and current topics within the community, tutorials, and vids showcasing characters and stages ranging from old (rare) and new. It's really up to the Mugen Lord on how he wants to represent things for each show.
