LoL, Thats how I pronoun it (the second way), so when I heard others say Mu-Gen (Generation) I feel like i'm pronouning it wrong.

Now I'm confused on how is really spelled the word Mugen... @-)

I guest I'll keep saying it on the same way everyone does around here since is a word with no real meaning on spanish. :-"
Lloyd: Presea, no one can stand against your axe!!!
Presea: The enemy has been defeated. We should move on.
Lloyd: Cold...

Japanese "Mugen" = Ifinite

Infinity Mugen Team = Infinity Infinite Team

The "correct" pronouciation matches Spanish, Portugege, general Latin and Japanese pronouciations. I think only English speakers have a problem with pronounciation because of the whack etimology of so much of our language.

I`m glad that the pronunciation stuff has been cleared...has anyone contacted MugenLord about that tiny-little detail?

Cleared or not, that's not how I pronounce it. I pronounce it "MEW-JEN"

Who says you guys are saying it right? Just because in Japan it's said one way, does not mean it it pronounced the same here. To my knowledge, I did not know Elecbyte was a Japanese company.

You may have a point, let's look into this a little.

1) What would the etemology of Mew-Jen be?

2) Apparently some code in the mugen hack is japanese, this might just because the Win-Mugen Hack that everyone uses was put together by a Japanese user though.

3) Moo-gen (sounds like a-gain) makes sense as the common Japanese word Mugen means infinite, which really is a great description of the engine.

conversley,

1) Electrobyte seems to have been an English speaking entity who is no longer around so the pronounciation will always be in question.

2) Electrobyte themselves didn't even remember what it was supossed tio mean, so no luck there.

3) M.U.G.E.N is an acronym atfter all.

in the end, the word itself is in question, as for me, I'm addicted and stuborn in my old ways.

for me has always been "moo-gen"(a-gain.... but without the"i")
so in esperanto (for being universal) would be pronnounced:
muguen..
contrariously, my native languaje (spanish) tells me i should prennounce "mujen" (moo-hen)
lol

I wouldn't worry too much about pronouncing mugen the Japanese way or any other way, really. Many people may not say mugen correctly, but I find that words of any language are always said differently in other countries. There are many different & interesting ways English words are pronounced in Japan.

Anyways, looking forward to the next episode of Mugen TV  :O*D

My psychic power sense Mugen News Ep. 3 is within it's last couple days/weeks before airing... or maybe just my antsy-ness.  :DB:

I check for it like everyday, is that sad?
