Here are just some notes taken from Smash Bros. Brawl and possible ways to impliment them:
An opponent with higher damage flies farther.
When hit and knocked into the air the v acel should be a function of the amount of life remaining compared to the total amount of life.

Items:
Items are a fairly important part of the game.

My recommendation is to generate an explod that disappears when a character touches it and stores a variable that corresponds with a weapon number.

This variable would then be used to move to different hitdef for those weapons.

I reccomend looking into this for Pokeballs.

THIS JUST IN! JudgeSpear is allowing us to use his Chansey voicepack, as well as Meowth and Pikachu once they are finished. And, yes, he did confirm that Pikachu will be made.

I've decided Meta Knight. I've done this sprite, although a few things need adjusting like the feet and sword and Meta knight's size, but tell me what you think



It was done by scratch, although I may end up using the SNES sprites, just enlarging and recolouring them, adding details

Thats really good!. Reduce the size of the blue area a bit more and its perfect!
