We have been working on this for some time and well, its time to reveal this wip. :)

Its a team work:
Codes & idea - Me
Base sprites - Doom
Capes - Loganir
Aditional sprites - Hypersonic
Support - ZVitor and Acey
Custom voice acting - Hypersonic


This is the Exiles version of Morph. I plan to make him like my MB-03, which shapeshift a lot to make the attacks.
Morph will remain on his normal look just on few moments, for the rest of the time, he will be morphed

I am gathering as many Marvel edits as I can, so if you have one and/or wanna contribute with him, drops me a line. Many people already gave the authorization, like Navs, HyperSonic, Blagoy, Ens23, Max007, Sei , Beja and many others.

Awesome!  I love this character from the comic book and think it would be a great character to have in Mugen.  Good luck to you and your team!  I understand that character creation can be grueling work but it's less so when it's a work of love!

1 bit of feedback that I hope you will consider from the first Morph - too much constant morphing really interferes with the feel of the character.  I didn't feel like I was controlling 1 character with the old Morph.  I'd say keep at least the basics (stance, forward, backward, crouch, basic jump and maybe the light punch and kick) as Morph and have the heavy attacks, hypers, and taunts involve his powers.  I think a cool animation for a super jump would be if Morph turned into a spring (if it is possible to animate).

Sorry, but that was my idea. And, before *someone* jumps here talking about stealing ideas, I've developed this long time ago to my MB-03, as you can see on this 2008 video. He will play like that

Yes, she is. Too bad I never finished her.
In fact, the Spec Ops chars acts as a code lab.  Many of ideas, codes, sounds and graphics comes from them.

This is why this wip is beeing made since 2002, lol

Awesome to see this version of him getting worked on (There are way more pics available for ports!  lol.. the other was really tough to find decent pics to make a port for him).   So as far as the morphing goes, it'll be similar to the other version of Morph?   that's cool with me.  It didn't bother me at all.

He's got a lot of talented people working on him... I have no doubt he's going to turn out spectacular.

Your edits are very good!   I especially love that modern version Mockingbird you did.  She looks flawless!   That is one Avengers lady that should be made for Mugen.  Congrats on the great sprite.

I know that this comparsion will happens, but as I said, this idea was made by me first, but I don't mind :)
Maybe I will change somethings, like to retain the normal moves (crouch, walk, jump) on the normal form.

I will decide it later, because all the spriters are busy right now.

Alrighty, just send me whichever sprites he talks in and I'll have them fitted for lip syncing

Also I'm afraid with the way you praise my voice clips people might get their hopes too high  :D

nice work on morph so far man... this wip has so much you can do since he morphs to anything but i would still give him his identity.. and by that what i mean is just dont making him morph to a different character for each of his moves.. give him plenty of animations of himself. i would give him all his basics of him without morphing to anything..  maybe his guards would look cool morphing into somebody  and his strong punches and kicks but thats it.. then for hypers, supers, intros and win poses, you can make him morph.. its tricky not to make him just a collection of other characters.. also out of so many characters out there, if its possible he should be able to morph into them somehow if its possible in mugen.. like code a hyper that he robs from fighting opponent.. also a special from them..

 and maybe this can be done but you know how some characters have more than 3 kicks and punches in each stance, air and crouch. those extras are directional plus button, well if possible in mugen, maybe you can code this too that if they have directional attacks, morph can do those too by morphing into them.. the whole idea is that no matter who he fights, he should be able to morph into them somehow.. but this are just my crazy ideas... no matter what you do at the end, this should be a great character...

I agree with this but to a certain extent. Maybe for some basics he can still morph but into something that's not a character (ex, Strong Standing Kick can be him turning into a kangaroo and shoving both feet forward)

Also what kind of specials can he have outside of morphing? I think someone brought up having a Blink or Nocturne striker but I'm not sure

I got your meaning. This would change my original plans, but some ideas are cool. Specially to make him copy a hyper from char while fighting then, besides Morph CAN'T copy powers, unless they are something related to morhing. So, people likle Mr Fantastic, the symbionts (without web) and others can be used.

I even plan a whole hypermove where he turns in many symbionts.

The Directional Attacks are cool, I haven't thought of that. I can make use of them to make moves where he morph in things diferents than just other chars, like the Kangoroo. I know there is a mame game with some nice sprites of animals.

Since Verz also mentioned command normals (hold direction + attack) I thought up some he can use:
> + Heavy Punch = Hulk like arm slamming down
Air, V + Heavy Kick = Pogo Stick or maybe drill

Also maybe for a throw, he can have a Zangief like body and perform a piledriver.

I will try to follow a standard, so all fierce blows (kicks and punchs) will be delievery by big guys.

for exemple, all weak standing punches will have slicing proprieties, because they will be made by X-23/Lady Deathstrike (still waiting for authorization) and someone will claws.

The medium punches will be delivered by "black chars: Black Queen (which I plan to code as a standalone char), Black Widow and Blackbolt

One of the throws will be executed by Blagoy's Caliban.

yeah, its Ens' Black Queen, we are negotiating.

Do you have his taunts covered? It would be cool if he transformed in some of the more goofy Marvel characters (like Howard the Duck).

what made you Acey Zvitor Hyper Loganir and probably more decide to work on this char?

Actually, this is beeing done by me (coding), Doom (base sprites), HyperSonic (aditional sprites) and Loganir (capes). ZVitor and Acey are only supporting.

I decided to make this char while I was thinking to make a Shapeshifter for Spec Ops, then I remember about this char and went to talk with The Anvil to make a new version of his char.

Upon some difficulties imposed by him, this wasn't possible. So, I decided to make my own version.
At the end, I thank him for that "NO" :)

I've been working on Morph on the shadows, and I am gathering some ideas.

His current status:

- All the basic (stand, jump, crouch, etc) done
- All the gethits done
- All standing attacks done.

Well, since Morph uses 3 variations per each basic attacks (standing, crouched, jump), this will require 27 54 different edits
Right now, all the standing attacks are done, plus 2 crouched punches and all 3 weak jumping kick.

So, any help is very apreciated. I want to use newer chars over old ones, so this is why it takes so long.

That reminds me of Morph's disguise when the Exiles were put into the Trial of the Phoenix (only without the hair and exposed chest

Also that ground slam can also be used for a crouch punch

I have found some Shard(bishop´s sister), Sage and no head-naked sprites to sprite a crazy super boob-morph
they where not used, and maybe you want it
if youre interested, i can give you an unseen emma frost intro (changed to morph) and old shadowcat sprites.

maybe you should ask for sprites on those unfinished mugen characters(jubilee, Blob,shadowcat,exodus, x-man,beast,cannonball...)some funny transformations into personalities would be nice(darth vader, superman, marilyn monroe michael jackson, heroes cheerleader)

I'm loving morph,
avalanche and havok look cool as morph, im actually liking that baron strucker, is that custom made or is that off an actual wip or finished character? If not he should be, that's awesome (and a few more dark lined details on his gauntlet would make it better)

Im looking at the sprites now. Does it matter if a add colors? I added a brown. So heres the first let me know if you like, if so ill do the rest
