As I write, I'm just finished beating the Soviet Campaign in Red Alert 2 and I want to play its awesome part 1, but when trying to install it, I get this message: "Windows 5.1 is installed. Red Alert is a Windows 95 application". Is there any way to install it on Windows XP?

You could get the decade thing. I think you can install on XP it's just your game might be fugly.

I looked up some solutions but every time I get to the menu I get a "Can't find from CD-ROM" (I'm running it from an Iso file). Maybe I should burn it into a CD, and as a last resort I'll try installing it in my grandma's PC next time I go see her (She's got Windows 98).

Sorry for bumping, but I'm about to SUICIDE! \-/o
I burned Red Alert into a CD, and after running Autorun I'm still getting that damn "Unable to locate necessary files. Please run SETUP.EXE from the CD-ROM"!
Can someone help a DESPERATE Red Alert fan please?

I don't have a DVD player, and I'm not American, therefore this pack is not available yet in Argentina. And when it reaches it, it'll cost 3X because of monetary devaluation. :'( Another reason to suicide.
