Title: setting up multiple display's with radeon HD 5770 help please?
Post by: Kev The Galaxybender on January 01, 2011, 12:00:06 PM
quick question about multiple displays. I have both my monitor and TV hooked up to my video card. I don't run both monitors at the same time but I switch back and forth. I have my monitor set to 1440X900 and my TV set to 1360X768 when I switch to my TV it goes to 1360X768 like it's supposed to but when I switch back from my TV to my monitor the resolution doesn't go back to 1440X900, it stays in 1360X768 and I have to manually switch it back. Is there a way to have it save the resolution for both displays so when I switch back to my PC monitor I won't have to re adjust the settings? This was really easy to do with my Nvida card, I never had a problem with it.

I don't have a computer with an ATI card but I'm sure you should be able to save profiles for your monitor and TV. What type of ports do you have on your graphics card? If your card has DVI or VGA and HDMI, you can route DVI(or VGA) to the monitor and HDMI to the TV. I'm 80% sure that card should be able to detect that you have multiple monitors setup.

I have the TV DVI to HDMI (don't have a HDMI cable long enough to use the HDMI out) and the PC monitor set to DVI. This was very easy to do with my old Nvida card
