This project will work a little different from what you have seen from us in the past. In the following weeks we will release parts of the project, including the screen pack, so that you can join in the journey of this project's creation as well as add what ever content you woul like to see in the game for your own personal use.

As each creator completes content for this game it will be made avaialable for your use to automatically add into the screen pack up through till the day that the final product is finished.

In turn this is also an opportunity to bring a new set of DC characters that are largly missing from the Mugen community, namely, Batman's Rogue Gallery. Expect to see Catwoman, Penguin and others who will join in the battle over Gotham City in this Project DC: The Dark Knight Chronicles.

Just to point out that Batzarro, and I have agreed that the version of Harley shown in the video will not be in this game. A new version will be sprited for it, and the former version will be continued by myself in other projects.

As you get closer to finishing your set of sprites (of even if you want some help knowing what exactly needs to be sprited early on) we can help you. IMT has tons of quality programers who would be more than happy to assist.
I like this project, especially since Batman is my fav comic hero and his rouge gallery is by far the best ever! Will this project include Killer Croc, The Vantriliquist, Mad Hatter and the Creeper too?
The roster isn't set yet, right now we're watching to see who will participate and what we can produce.

I am really new to Mugen, only a month or two, but love every bit of it. I have to say that your releases are the best anywhere. I can't wait until ZVitor's Spiderman release, but I am also an incredible die-hard batman fan and have downloaded several Mugen versions of him (Magus' Batman_RC, Alucard's version, Infinity Team's version, etc.), but they all seem incomplete for some reason. They also don't do justice to the character. Most of the time he is really weak or slow and almost all his attacks are batarang based. Although they're good, they're not enough. I like the hyper moves of almost every one of them, but the special moves leave much to be desired. Also, most of them are not too combo friendly. I like Alucard's regular and special moves, including the dragon-punch like move, the roll and the rope/ kick move. I love the Infinity Team version's Frank Miller type intros and user-friendly combos, I also love Magus' batman flash bomb move and all his hyper moves like the batmobile projectile hyper, the bats and the one where he beats his opponent to a pulp while images of his life flash on the screen. I guess what I am trying to say is that if all of these ideas were combined into one character, instead of being spread across several of them, he would be one bad-@$$ dude. He should also have some rolling or evasive maneuvers, and some shadow or dark moves. There should also be some cameo moves where Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Commissioner Gordon or any other characters related to him could show up for some assistance. Also, a post fight police chase after he grabs the downed opponent or something, almost like the Punisher's. I am really sorry for the long post, but it is my first ever in any forum (I've always read the comments), and I felt it necessary to write now because I am looking forward to this release and the best Batman version the most, so please take this as my humble opinion and don't get offended by my comments. I think at the end we all win because we all love Mugen. I also want to thank each and everyone of you for the awesome work you do and the dedication you put into everything, and I am referring not only to the developers, but to everyone that leaves their great feedback and the whole community that makes everything possible. You have no idea how exciting it is to get home after a long day at work and find out that you had just released a new awesome character for us to enjoy. Hopefully I'll be able to learn how to make them and someday repay the favor. Thanks alot like I said Riddler is getting close to the basics ill let know when done I think im going to try to get all the basics for both my wips then add the specials and hypers in last that way i got time to think up specials and hypers and get the ball moving on both hopefully when these come to light i will like to work on future wips for this project wouldnt mind maybe working on a ZOD down the road or maybe two face but ill finish up what i got on my plate now.
I think another team wip would be awesome for this project maybe for Superman this time I think he could work perfectly in the game but thats just my 2 cents.

Right now I'm just formatting all the previous sprites again to match each other better and Iron Fist has updated the code and added some more stuff as well.

There's this ongoing story in the DC Universe Right now called Batman: Battle for the Cowl, it deals with Bat's ENTIRE Rouges Gallery, His numerous Allies, Sidekicks, and soon his replacement.
Just a suggestion, maybe as the project develops a little more, you guys could build on a story around that, or take the entire thing and make and adaptation!! Just saying. ;)
BTW As of this Writing The Battle for the Cowl Storyline is pretty much done. and DC released all 3 issues, just finished the last issue, and gotta say that their choice for the NEW Batman is Captain Obvious Approved! :thumbsup:

That still being worked on by the team . If you notice the Batman project is more of an " open project " Anyone can start a character & submit it , is the idea for this . EOH is more of a " team " project with some other creators helping out .

Well my opinion is that they dont look good enough compared to Ivy, Scarecrow, and the other characters in the project. They look like edits of Cyclops, and Cable
Thats why I suggested Karman Cole as a base. I would keep trying, and I wouldnt give up on 2-face, but those bases dont work.

Just remember you need to sprite both sides for right to left. There is a faster way to get around the the suit in reverse, but you would need heads for both sides. so it still means double the spritres.

Actually Ona is part of the Legends project now. Not that it matters since either Screenpack I am sure can be mixed and matched. He's working on shading, and getting some real headway made. I think the character just works a little better with our more eccentric mix of characters.

So I was bumbed at 1st, but ironically, SuperJoker, and Spooky approached me about joining a Bat-Project litterally days after, and it's the honest truth that neither had any idea that IMT was working on a project, and it was before anything had been officially announced. I admitt I was happy someone was interested in incuding myself into their project, and bizarre as it seems somehow I ended up building, and leading this project. Giving up my free time, and a lot of my life for the sake of the project.
But anyway there is no competition in this thing. A series of silly events led to 2 seperate projects, and while our visions of the game are differant Acey, and I are hoping that we will work on a similar template so that you all can mix, and match your personal game with either 1 or both of our Screenpacks. We both want to create our seperate complete games, but we recognize Mugen is all about personalizing your own system.
I am a big admirer of the IMT project, and I am lucky to have one of the best group of up and coming Mugen creators like Jmaxx, trexell, AA250 and Warecus. So were all having fun with this, and as far as I know both bat projects are cruising along, and working to bring more of the Batman, and DCU to life!

That will save virtually any form of entertainment or sport. (Curling anyone?) At the risk of going even further offtopic I'd like to see a Martial Arts reality show. Not a reality show that features martial artists but a show where the activities cannot be accomplished unless you've dedicated a small portion of your life learning how to beat the crap out of someone. You can have events dedicated in the fashion of the 39 (or at least I think it's 39) chambers of shaolin where contestants demonstrate their physical and mental prowess with the two lowest ranked have to fight to avoid elimination but they can pick anyone else to fight save the person who ranked best in the previous event.

I seriously wanted to try out for that show. I think that I could make it to the last stage. I wouldn't beat it, but I could make it.

After tonight I am done. Lilly scott was the best on the whole show. F American Idol, too many idiots on vote for the worst.com have screwed the show. I think thats why Daughtry got the boot, and Lambert lost last year. I'll be looking forward to Simon's X-Factor.
