Since we're running the gamut of Classic series MM characters, it would be great if the Genesis Unit (Buster Rod G., Hyper Storm H. and Mega Water S.) from Wily Wars got included into the game.
I mean, not only do they have the potential to have a diverse moveset, but they also have that "Quirky miniboss squad" dynamic going on (e.g. Buster Rod G bickering with Mega Water S).

Ya know, I just had a crazy idea. We're putting Wily in RMM, so...why not have Dr. Light, as well? He can drive a mecha, like, you have standard large, Guts Man or Napalm Man styled arms/legs, with Dr. Light's head? It'd make sure he'd be different from Wily, and we can make him mostly melee with some non-lethal weaponry, since he's as close to a pacifist as Mega Man can get.
Man...I'd love to see Sheep Man, and especially Splash Woman in RMM. Can't have a Robot Master "war" without the only Robot Mistress...And Sheep Man...He'd just be such a hilarious character to play as, along with Freeze Man. Can't think of many moves for him, though.

There could be DocRobot from MM3 as a boss character. He can use loads of different weapons from MM2, maybe even some from other games....just an idea....
It's great that you're still working on Gutsman. You should probably make a sprite sheet and post them with Imageshack, since Photobucket makes BMP files into JPEG files for some reason. :-?? Either way, looks great. :thumbsup:

Well, initially, the original Project-XR was going to have the characters do what was called and "EXE-Out", where they would transform into the BN version of themselves either for a duration of time or as a Hyper move. You're reading too far into the concept. EXE-Out is just a move. For instance, Quint doesn't have a battle network counterpart, so he wouldn't have a hyper for one. I was thinking about who would I like to see in game, my favs that wasn't already made or being worked on are Burnerman, Pirateman and Swordman. There already Fireman and Heatman so Burnerman probably won't be made, Pirateman is hard to make original... so Swordman!

He should be in the game :) he's kinda unique, he would be second character with sword(first is Zero) and ideas for him could be taken from many sword-wielders from other games like Last Blade or Samurai Showdown. He's like classic answer to Zero. Though I dunno who will take it, everybody's busy with own characters, but he could be great character ^^

This really isn't a suggestion, But I was wondering what was everyone suggestion on releasing a Duo Beta. I finished applying him to the RMM Template and I wanted to upload a beta. I not very good at coding and wanted to see what you coder could do with him. He still needs specials and personal move sets.I don't think anyone would turn down a beta of Duo, even if he had no moves. :thumbsup: Might even help people to come up with ideas.

Back to Megaman for a hot second. I was thinking, since Rush is in RMM and he has Beat and Eddie to help him, why not have a Wily Bot team? Y'know, Metool, maybe a Gabyoall, Big Eye can come in to attack, something like that. I don't know if any of you guys like the idea, but it's a thought. I was inspired from reading Megaman Megamix.

Yeah, that is my doubt. But I can reduce the frame count (now its 10 frames).

I like the X series as well since it's a natural progression of the Classic series and it meros the art style and core mechanics. All other sries I couldn't care less.
The Classic series alone has enough spinoff and side characters which could fit well into this project.

I can't fit the Megaman arms in, they're too big for Jewelman's chestplate. However though, the head looks pretty good now. I mixed the old head with Geminiman and Hardman (SAR).
The only reason I returned to the old one is because I rate Elecman's eyes. The legchips are impossible to find, the only robot master I can think of that has them is Freezeman, and they're just a few pixels bigger than Jewelman's feet.

think it makes no difference now, and some of the character's A.I. is more aggressive and cheap then some fighting game final bosses!All the characters will receive a better AI. Some easier, some harder.

It really hard to change weapons as Air Man and Proto Man seemingly lacks them entirely. Fire Man's stage doesn't have any music at all.

I tried some bases... Casshern's dog Friender (Tatsunoko PS1), Ravange's horse/like half (Red Earth), Strider Hiryu's robot tiger... heck... even Robot Unicorn Attack. Naturally, nothing really worked.
So I went back to basics... and asked help from a space chicken...

I guess the most feasible option is to have a sprite sheet with multiple body parts of Centaur Man - tracing over a Power Battle resized sheet, for example. Then rotate each part in 6 different angles through Rotsprite, while keeping the extremes apart by 90 to a maximum of 180 degrees... fix the shading and assemble the parts to make new moves.
Ravange's half can be resized and traced over and looks pretty spiffy as half a base for crouch stance and attacks.

You can remove de arcade mode and use a tag code on the characters.

The thing where you had to press ctrl and a number at the start of every match to be able to switch the control of the other character has been fixed with that code too? Well I guess your playing in vs mode all the time so that wouldn't be an issue I guess.
I would be interested in looking into that in the future. Then perhaps we could do a regular release and a tag release.
IMO that's more trouble than it's worth, especially considering we'd have to ditch all bosses, since they're meant for regular 1vs1 Arcade mode.
If we were to ever go this route in the future we would need our main Rmm version with a arcade mode and a totally separate version with the tag that we could modify from our main version Rmm. There's probably a lot to work out when playing with the tag patch. Something to look into one day.
The problem is: it will make the bosses fights very weird. Just imagine Yellow Devil and Hyper Storm H on the same screen...
Plus, the idea was to make some bosses which are tied to specific screens (like one which Magma had posted about in the contributor area). This would make the second boss to act weird.
Yea if we ever do this it would need to be a tag only separate version of rmm without bosses.

Bass without Treble?
Treble will follow Bass like Rush follows Megaman.
The Megaman i am coding has it where if he faces "Rush" or "Megaman" Rush won't appear (in background with megaman), so those hypers and specials will be replace with something else. I think Bass should have the same. Also want Bass and Megaman have a intro where Rush and Tremble are growling before match, than mega and bass teleport in to start the fight.
Quick Suggestion can we change the hit sparks to a more cartoonish look?
We could look into hit sparks next year if your interested.
It's going to be quite an undertaking to replace the hit sparks in our increasingly large roster.
I feel like a lot of sounds could be changed to have some more MM flair, maybe mix some gethit sounds with the original hurt sounds or something from the 8-bit era. Also could use the original NES font for the names, or even the 8-bit sprites with name/arrow. Could make workload a lot easier.
