Good arsenal choice!  I'm betting one of his supers will involve his demon form in one way or another.

At last! An MvC-styled Dante. :w00t: The weapons look good, also.

Well then, I wish you good luck on doing this stylish warrior. ::salute::

Mission complete!

Dude that is awesome! The only thing I'm not crazy about is the boot legs (if that's what you want to call them...) shouldn't be there...

Looks great, just sad that he doesn't have much really from DMC3, like Nevan would make a great hyper move...
Also this means Spawns progress will likely be slower huh?...

Cool a Dante wip.  Everything is very nicely detailed.  The only thing I can suggest is to change up his face some, the first thing I thought at fist glance was Cody.  Good luck with him I look forward to seeing more in the future.  Your spawn is also very nicely detailed btw.   ;D

Cool! Arlequin, if you need some voices, I still have a sound pack of Dante, Vergil and Lady from Devil May Cry 3.
Just send me a PM if you want them.

See you, good luck!

Nice sprite but many flaws. hope yu dont mind me pointing them out.

P.S The weapon sprites really set it off NICE!

~ Light source is WAY OFF! Keep it consistent
~ Too Short.
~ Too muscular

Those are rather true, but they revolve around varying so far from the base making a lot of sprites to animate with would be very difficult. I think they look nice as is anyways.

Indeed, but More Difficulty= BETTER. But if people dont resolve those Flaws the sprites will tend to look very awkward. But thats just my 2 sense

Actually yes short unless your going to Alpha Sprite style.

The light source never changes in 2D sprites on every frame. 3D of course.

the red boxes? O.o are yu trying to show the differnt light source? if so then you are wrong. the Light source is above still

Zangief Light source is on the top

Dante's Light source is on the Top and Above

Guile, Light source is Above

Megaman Light source is from above

If its alpha style then muscles and height are fine but the light source is still Off

I would agree that Dante should be a tad taller... I don't remember him being that short in the games, but you have to remember the ratio of game sprites to other sprites.. comparing SF Alpha 3 to SFIII for example. Just a tad taller and he'll be perfect.

The size can be changed as well through the CNS. Sometimes it works very good, instead of resizing the sprites.

See you.

this is lookin tight so far man good luck.

Thought of an idea from your Gif u can prolly use if you dig it.

well I remember i use to like this cool super effect that a particular Jojos bizzare adv character "Holhorse" used to do in the fighting game for Dreamcast. When he did a super he would "Shoot the screen up" and make it shatter. and right behind that His Killer stand would come out and attack....in slow motion...sh*t was ill man...my girl used to use em a lot on some funny sh*t cuz of that lol...

anyway heres a video of the dude. see if you can get some sprites of that glass shattering effect and just make a cool @ss dante super from it...or somethin like that

Just a thought :-??..lol
Lots and lots of supers so f*ckin what

HAIL CROM!!

You need to mature the face up, Dante looks waaaay too happy. Some face stuble would be nice! That intro with the camera is sick! I like the idea of the camera shattering super!

i like the fact you're making Dante, but i he should be a tad taller and less muscular(he's not that muscular overall, despite the fact he carries biga$$ swords most of the time)

I agree about that but if he is making a mvc of alpha sprite it looks alright. Everyone in MVC and the SF alpha games are a lot more muscular than possible, but I do see what you are saying the muscles could use slight reduction
