Thanks! I'm done with how I want the classic and new specials to work, I just have to do more coding to iron out a few things.

I'm also taking some moves from the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Men_Origins%3A_Wolverine_(video_game)), and one super will come from the X-Men anime (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Anime#X-Men).

If you will dedicate yourself to code a new char, why not take the time to improve the pallete too? Low saturation is just too simple.

My suggestion for pallete/shading would be something like SF3 Remy' jacket - not all of the shades used in his jacket are gray scale, yet the effect is much more appealing to the eye. Another option is to take inspiration from Prime Op's edits with black-ops uniforms.

Took a break from the specials, to work on the palettes. I hope you all like!

After I'm done with the specials, and the first super, I will be working on the remaining palettes. :)

Progress is going great. I recently touched up the palettes (all will be shown, when first release drops) a little bit more.
I also refined both the basic attacks and the specials.
Playing X-Men vs Street Fighter every now and then helps get a clear sense of things, and it's good to have fun while working on things like this. :O*D

I'm currently working on the first super.
After that, I'll be throwing in some X-Force here and there, where it... (makes sense?) [pokes fun at the enemy?]
