Here is another one of my works in progress. I have alot left to do on this character to be completely finished. i have all the sprites i need for gold armor and underwear, i am currently trying to learn how to code changing forms. He is to the point where he could be a playable beta, and i hope to release a beta soon. i hope to have more updates soon. Thanks to BWWD and blade for all the sprites. They are the best!!!!

The armor changing code will give you a nightmare to code. Plus, it won't work 100% outside a closed game, thanks to Mugen limitations.
Damn, this is SO easy in OpenBOR - we just load another character inside the first one, with a lot of control. I wish Elecbyte could implement it someday.

Thanks for the input. i am sorry to hear i will be unable to accomplish my goal. i have another character who i intent to show battle damage as his health drains. will i be able to accomplish a form switch to show damage in this manner, or is this also limited by mugen?

Yup. Couldn't watch the video on the phone, but now I get the PSX anti aliasing/Mode 7 impression.
While it still looks good on video, the sprite is flat (yeah, I know, it's 2d, so it's supposed to be flat... but I get a Paper Mario vibe).
Maybe an extra lighter shade done by hand with trimming the edges could be an easy(ier) fix.

here,this might help you with ideas to make the armor looking more like metal.. i would suggest to go check out that character from warzard game, the armor guy forgot his name.. cool work so far, and good luck.
