Hello,
It's been quite a long time since I've been active here. Not sure who's still around that remember me. :-??
Since I have a lot of down time with recent events, thought I'd make a brief return to MUGEN to finish Dazzler as a last hoorah. :)
I'm completely revamping her. I plan for her to have all her basics, 2 intros/win poses, 2 to 3 specials and 2 hypers.

What's Done:
New stance
Crouch
Walk
Jump
Dashes
Block
Push back from block
All Get hits (the original alpha was SO messed up with these, wow)
Dizzy
Recovery roll
1 Intro
Taunt
Win poses
1 Lose Game animation
3 Specials
3 Hypers
All Basic attacks
What's Left:
1 more special
Draw Game animation
More intros
More Win Poses
Finally, I will need to recode her. Right now, I can't even get MUGEN to run. I'm using a Mac. I got it to run before, but wondering if the Catalina OS is causing it to fail. If anyone knows anything about running MUGEN on Mac, that would be appreciated.
Maybe there's a coder who can help me later with coding AI and cleaning up anything I messed up. It's been several years since I've done this.
Side note: I plan to re-release my stages, some with new music. After Dazzler is completed, if I'm not burnt out, I have plans on doing a remix of my Professor X character.

Thank you very much. I got it working this afternoon! :)
Now I can actually see what the animations look like in game.

Oh! Forgot to mention, I also plan to release actual endings to all three of my characters. Already have the frames sprited and planned out.
Just need an easy way to add text to the frames. I wish to use actual Capcom fonts. Anyone know an easy way to create a font that can be used in GIMP to emulate the Capcom endings fonts?

wow, welcome back twin. Its been a while indeed. Nice to see one of my favorite characters is getting an update. The sprites here look amazing. I look REALLY forward to this release.

I'm working constantly on this WIP, making lots of progress.
Question: Who here uses MUGEN 1.0 or still the old WinMugen? I'm coding Dazzler now and not sure what's the most common version people actually play MUGEN in.

I haven't looked into that yet. Wasn't sure if there was a Dazzler voice somewhere out there in the universe or a voice that would be a good fit. Would be nice if she had a couple lines to say. :)

At this time, the DDR hyper isn't programmed to take in player inputs with the arrow timing, but I'm thinking I could add something extra if the player does enter the right inputs.
I want to make sure the hyper does give the player their due damage against their opponent.

EDIT: Beximus coded an Animgo (MVC2) that has this mechanic as a hyper. The song in the hyper is "Samba de Janeiro".

This new upgrade promises a lot. And as others already mentioned, that DDR aesthetic applied in a Hyper or Special Move is great.

ha, I'm kidding.. That interaction I haven't coded yet. That's the final piece I have to do. The idea I have is, one arrow will hit P2 and disappear/explode, the other arrow will be the one the player has to press on the controller.
Just been busy with other project of mine past few weekends.

Coded Dazzler's DDR Hyper yesterday. Turned out pretty cool. I decided in the end to just have one arrow at a time. If you don't miss any of the inputs when the arrows reach the top, you get that final blast at the end.
Sorry for the audio in this video. I tried recording from microphone and it came out "meh". But you can still hear the audio pretty well. Thought I'd also share her taunt at the end of the video. :P
Cool note, the music playing during the hyper is from the X-Men 90's animated series. Like, the one episode Dazzler appears! haha
