Hand Drawn animation is more expencive to make then digital.
I think Transformers: Prime has a higher animation quality then this.
April looks like jailbait.

How about instead of criticizing CGI animation, which has become a nationwide sport apparently, you comment on the writing and action scenes of the show (which BTW are really great actually)

Also what's wrong with trying a different portrayal of April? She doesn't ALWAYS have to be a ditzy, big breasted, news reporter who's kidnapped every two seconds.

I like big boobs and i haddnt seen it yet when i made that post. All i had seen was that photo and a comerical
The writing is ok, and the voices are totaly wrong for each turtle, except for maybe Don, but his voice actor is Raph's  from the 80's.

Maybe the voices sound off to you cause they're younger. Ya know, they're actually TEENAGE mutant ninja turtles.

I still wanna give this show a chance.

^^(PM)^

I just finished watching the new Turtles. I gotta say i feel like a kid again. I love it. it reminded me of my turtle so much. It came of to me as a modern take on the 80's turtles. my only dislike is aprils age. But this is so it appeals more to the younger audience. But mainly girls because with so many shows aimed at young girls unlike when we grew up girls have a choice to pass on turtles.

The look of the turtles

I love the fact that they look like turtles. Omg  =P~ At forst i was like most. I wasnt pleased with the appearence of the turtles. But after seeing them in motion.  =P~ The show is done in 3-d with the textures done in painterly style with a slight dark/ grittiness. With that style it helps blend the flash and after effects like portions of the show well. thus it doesn't need to be to sharp like a movie or game, but doesn't appear not cheap and half assed ether. its gives a more relaxed flow and feel to the show. Thus making it easy on the eyes and fun to watch.

The fact that there 3d  many feel is bad. Everything is going 3d cause thats what people want. thats what kids want. Its the cool thing.

April does look like jailbait.  [-X Why would they do this?
its a cartoon aimed at kids. why should there be sex appeals?  /:O Also apirl is probably 9, 10, 12, 13 so again why are you look at t with that mind set? that says something about you and also one of the issues with this country but they a topic for another thread.

The personalities

I say are all similar to the 80's. Ralph to me does capture a bit of his 03 counter part. Mikey is the biggest change. Tho his humor isn't the same as we know it is what we know. The show is aimed at today's youth. Unlike the 03 which was at older kids and us the ones that grew up with them. 12 turtles are aimed at younger kids ages 3,4,5 like our turtles were. Mikes humor/ personality is based off of what people respond to today. Leo, the leader, Ralph, the serious hot head, Don, the nerd and mike, the comedic goof ball. Of all for turtles Mike is the one that has to change the most if you are aiming a different  audience. The the turtles personalities are timeless except his. Comedy must change. what was funny yesterday isn't today. Perfect example which m\we all seen. The run forest run joke.

The animation

for a 3d show its great. i see some comparing it to t-forms prime. I love TF but the turtle is of better quality. They dont used plain blend shapes or phongs for shading. the animation timing is faster the TF. They are not floaty, speed, or weight issues. But this is only the first ep (first 2)  so it many be early to say but these show tend to be pretty solid on the consistency of animation/ quality.

The Fighting

THE FREAKING CUT THINGS.  :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o enough said.

The Weapons

I think the changes to Dons and Mikes weapons was to make the show more since-able. I remember watching the 80's turtle fight in the techodrone (Sorry TMNT Bothers/Sisters) and mikey hitting a giant robat with his nunchucks and it explodes!?  /:O Same thing with don.

My final Words

As of now i love the new take on the turtles. Its caught my love within the first five minutes of watching. Which is all it should take to now if you'd like a show. I look forward to what ever else they have for us. I hope this shows goes the mile and we get another 5+ years of TMNT. welcome to the family 2012 Turtle.

K, just finished watching.

It ain't the 03, but in of itself, it's not a bad show. The gang behave more like teenagers and I'm fine with that. I'm on board. I'll be watching.

I am surprised that they remix the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song.

Well gotta remember this is for the kids. Personally I felt the same way about the last couple reboots a lot of you probably liked. To be honest all of it is pretty stupid compared to the origional comic series. But there is a certain charm the sellout movie turtles have. This isn't that far off just a different take

When I first saw the ad for the Turtles on TV, they looked a bit.. Feminine to me. :-?? Otherwise, it's great to see a revival of the series to a younger audience, as well as keeping it known around as to who the Turtles actually are. :P
