Well...one strategy would be playing with someone who knows how to use the Morrigan technique to practice dodging all dem fireballs...question is which one of us knows how to do that technique *whistles innocently*

Me neither, I don't even see it online. I have seen all kinds of cheap stuff recently but not Morrigan.

this is why i hate watching "pro" marvel games. still in the first set but this guy is playing sooooo cheap. hes just spamming and i know theyre saying "zoning" just to keep it professional. he didnt even try to get in for combos he just kept throwing voomerangs and other projectiles thats why i was laughing when brightside was like ok you keep doing that so ill webswing until time runs out. even the commentator said "hes out laming the lamer" as for morrigan you can shut her down with dr strange and hidden missile assist. strenge's projectile counter is useful and hidden missile will keep them out the air or force them to block if theyre already up there
EDIT: glad he caught him with that happy birthday that match was ridiculous. all he did was run and throw voomerangs and the eye assists hoping for hit and chip damage

And it's a reminder to all us other gamers to learn to deal with the cheap stuff, because every cheap player can be beat (with a few exceptions such as MKII).

I do play with someone who uses the morrigan bullet hell, yeah I don't play against him much...

Be gald you don't run into players who do. But I guess it would be helpful to get a hands on view of what its like to be in that situation.

True, true

You know we are exactly where we were last year before EVO. Everyone said that Phoenix was garbage, but were wrong. Everyone said Morrigan would suck without the dash block, but were wrong again. Phoenix was spamming, now its Morrigan spamming.

Lets see, all Morrigan needs now is to win EVO and then get nerfed to hell and back and still come out on top.

I wouldnt mind if Morrigan got at least a nerf by negating meter gain during Astral Vision. Im sure that'll somewhat balance things out more...

It's ridiculous how one character can completely either ruin the game or change the entire aspect and strategies involved to winning a simple 3 on 3 match. Everyone seems to aim for one incredibly long and high damaging combo to maximize damage. Then out of nowhere comes an insanely good zoning character...Phoenix was a huge problem in vanilla, now morrigan, and yet trench coat teams lurk in ranked matches...with a little side dish of sentinel and for desserts, hawkeye spam arrows...all i can say is...

my main beef with cheesy players is when you shut down their BS, they most of the time disconnect before you can claim your win. i haven't been online in awhile but i'm looking to get back on in july. just debating on which system to cop. xbox always had great competition online, but i wanted to see a lil more on the ps3 side too....

Im startin to like Morrigan again, not because of the spammin but rather because of the combos that I just came up with her. It happened out of nowhere

so much flight canceling. And because of that practice im startin to get the hang of the "zoning" more often but Im not gonna really rely on that.

Alright guys, time for a little lesson on some new tech...which im sure not many people know about because she is such an underused character.

To those who have fallen victim to X-23's cornered Silent Kill trap (mainly without an assist), there's a definite way to escape it.

When X-23 activates Silent Kill, most likely she will jump and use Talon Attack M to go straight directly into the incoming opponent. This is where it gets tricky, and make a note that you must have X-Factor for this. The moment you are hit in block stun, immediately activate X-Factor and attempt an air grab. At this point X-23 is trying to hit her opponent with the Silent Kill, but sadly its not a 1 frame attack like a grab is, therefore: Standard Ground/Air Grab > Silent Kill

I think I can finally say that X-23 is indeed a low tier character...

I'll post a video about it in a bit...

dang shame. she is one of my lil favs in the game too. just too many loop holes in her moveset if you can really counter her or play really good and know the tricks to getting around that move. thats same with Jill, i expected more from her. i actually like the marvel side better than capcoms side. which is dang shame all in itself. should have made them more equally balanced i guess.

Its mainly the addition of Air X-factor that made her lost this trap. Im not sure if an advance guard will help because even with advance guard, mostly likely X-23 will not get pushed away whatsoever since she is moving straight forward. Besides that, it would probably just push the assist character (if there was one used) away.

Either way, I believe X-23 is indeed low tier...
